El Condor Pasa sur Paris

I had to leave from this train station to get to Barcelona-Sants and it was so easy to get to Gare de Lyon from the train station in Saint-Denis. It's a very busy station but it was clean and there was a lot of staff to help passengers. The staff members were lovely and gave good advice and directions. It was my first time using the high speed train service in Paris so they were able to explain the process. The platform number is only confirmed approx. 20 minutes before the departure time and you'll need to use your ticket QR code to scan to pass through the gate at the platform. I bought my ticket via eurail. Note that your Global Pass is scanned on the train by a train conductor not at the gate. Lots of seating is around the train station and not sure about the bathroom situation as I didn't use it while I was there but I don't think the public bathroom is free of charge. There are lots of eateries and little shops/kiosks to purchase food, snacks and beverages to take on your journey with you. I didn't see a place to buy postcards though. There were a few beggars around the station but just politely refuse if you don't have euros to give them. In general, July is a busy time of year because of the season and even more so in my case as I was in Paris for the Olympics. Great location and I really loved the Olympic spirit that the station displayed.

Very nice station. His clock is magnificent. Ideal station for exploring the South of France or the mountains.

Not very clean and a lot of people... Afterwards we're just passing through but hey it's not the most pleasant place for me

Traffic is easy and the signs are clearly visible. The audio announcements should be more understandable. Don’t hesitate to go up to the mezzanine level (hall 2) to wait! Quite a few seats with USB and wall sockets (not working today).

Easy access for pedestrians. Very readable signage, particularly the GROUND signage. HOWEVER: in hall 2, in the morning, the numbers tracks are difficult to distinguish because of the backlight. Apart from that, this station is functional and provided with all the services that are necessary for travelers, both on departure and arrival. 3 frankly “perfectible” points: 1) the number of “free” seats for users at the start. 2) the "institutional" stopper at the taxi exit. 3) the omnipresent beggars in hall 1.

I went to the main line counter to buy a ticket and found the best one. Mr Christophe, A big thank you for your welcome, for your kindness and for your professionalism, you are one of the exceptional people. PS: I asked him for permission to take a photo of his plate 😉

What an amazing station. Very organised and easy to navigate

Busy ,clean station. Nice food outlets. Also a convenience store on sight. Toilets €1 can us a chip and pin card as well as cash. Well sign posted though mainly in French. More multilingual food servers than there were 3 yrs ago. The passport section was quite easy to use. Getting there 2 hrs before a bit of an over kill considering the lack of seating.

I really like this station first of all because it is one of the two stations through which I can go to my native Burgundy, it has also become a very beautiful station thanks to all the different works that have been done and 'there may still be at the moment. It is really very large with its 3 Halls, when you arrive there take a good look at your departure Hall. If you arrive in Hall 3 and your departure Hall is Hall 1 and you have barely 5 minutes to get there, you risk missing your train. Always arrive at the Station as much as possible at least 15 minutes early to have peace of mind. There are quite a few shops to make purchases and also shops to buy food on your train during your trip Have a good trip everyone!
