EL PRIMO sur Aix-En-Provence

19/08/2026: We had a truly excellent meal at La Tomate Verte restaurant. It tasted like home cooking, better than anything we'd make at home! The prices were also generally more reasonable than other restaurants in the area, while still maintaining superb quality. We were delighted with this little restaurant!

18/08/2026: A very good restaurant in Aix with modern and some regional dishes. The ingredients are fresh and not frozen, which is unfortunately often the case – especially in the more affordable price range. The prices are reasonable, and the service is very friendly and pleasant. No one puts any pressure on you if the meal takes a while and you chat a lot. All in all, a great experience, and a return visit is definitely planned. On my second visit – also at lunchtime – the main courses were very tasty, although the appetizer (zucchini carpaccio) was a bit unimaginative. It was a shame that it wasn't possible to get ice cubes for the tap water on a very hot day. Apparently, they were only available with paid drinks.
