The atmosphere and service at this place were first class. Our server, Salah, was very friendly and helped a lot in the selection of the food and the wine, since I don’t speak French. Food and wine were both excellent! Would recommend this Jardín Mazarin any time!

Very well located restaurant with a slightly outdated look. I think we were unlucky with the service - friendly out of obligation - which forgot to serve a dish and gave a sorbet with flavors not requested. However, we were a table of 7 guests, in the sparsely filled restaurant, 4 of whom took the menu! Desserts should really be avoided because they are not restaurant worthy. Particularly the deconstructed lemon tart which is in reality a dry cake crushed with a yellow sweet cream that is not very tasty. Big disappointment.

One of the best meals of our life. The flavours were a very happy surprise. The scallop special was incredible with the carrot and passion fruit blend was delightful. The seabass was excellent with the accompanying celery side that is something you cannot imagine. Our server, Salah, was polished yet very pleasant and enhanced our experience with his warm personality as did the very approachable owner who shared the story behind the interesting portraits that adorned her walls. The garden will be outstanding when outside dining resumes. A memorable evening indeed.

Finally a place that offers truffle dishes... that taste like truffles! It was great and we thoroughly enjoyed these dishes.

Le Club Des Sandwiches

13/11/2023: A great discovery! We had the daily special for €11.50 and everything is homemade. The slice of pie: excellent too, as good as grandmother's. Establishments of this type are rare these days, A great merit to this gentleman 👏 A plus for the very generous portions!
10/10/2023: The boss is very nice and the food is good, the chicken tagine with lemon and olives is excellent 🤩

Grand Hotel Negre Coste

01/04/2024: Very good hotel and spa but a big downside for the catering. The hotel is very well and quietly located on the Cours Mirabeau. We were in a prestige room. Beautiful room with a nice view of the course. Very good bedding, courtesy tray and mini bar. The welcome was very professional. We were able to leave our suitcases and get information about the city. A very beautiful, pleasant and truly relaxing spa. We enjoyed our time. Only one downside but very important, the catering. Evening meal expensive and not at all qualitative. Pleasant waiters but steak with a lot of nerves, Milanese escalope without taste. Too bad. As for breakfast, a big disappointment for €25. Well received but no buffet, all-you-can-eat service but served on a plate. I waited for a baguette with jam and butter for 1/2 hour! We gave up... See you again!
31/03/2024: Quality service and welcome! Rarely seen! Honestly, a very good experience for a first in this hotel in the heart of Aix en Provence!
