Passing through on a business trip. The welcome was warm and very friendly. The service was quick and excellent. The food was just as good. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely return next time I'm in the area.

A wonderful discovery! Regional products beautifully presented. The "slag heap platter" is excellent and lets you sample three specialties. Very pleasant service. Excellent value for money. Well done to everyone!

An excellent restaurant for traditional regional dishes: Welsh rarebit, carbonnade flamande, potjevleesch, meat dishes made with Maroilles cheese, as well as marrow bones, charcuterie platters, and more. The welcome is warm and the decor is typical of the region.

Excellent restaurant, warm and welcoming. Thank you again for finding us a table at the last minute! We had a wonderful meal with delicious homemade dishes and generous portions. A great place to eat in Douai, in a pleasant part of town, with excellent staff.

We had a lovely time in a very pleasant setting with a warm welcome. The food was delicious! The carbonnade and the ficelle du mineur were superb, and the desserts were amazing! 😜👍 We'd gladly come back to try the other dishes!

31/08/2026: Thank you to the servers who were there for us. When they saw we were a large party, they set up a table for 15 of us, and when it rained, they helped us bring an extra umbrella. The atmosphere was great. The service was the same. The food wasn't to my taste; I ordered an original burger. I didn't like it. But the whole menu looked appetizing, and my colleagues enjoyed their meals, so please disregard my opinion on the food. 👍 Top-notch, I highly recommend it.
29/08/2026: I came with my work colleagues and I loved the place, I recommend the fish and chips and the gourmet coffee!

Impeccable service, a warm and very personal welcome, a friendly atmosphere, and a simple yet elegant setting… September 2026: Following up on the previous comment: we celebrated a birthday and the excellence was once again evident. An excellence that was unanimously praised by the guests. The chocolate fondant: exceptional! Thank you!
