Very good restaurant with a lovely setting and excellent pizza.

Good pizzas, but the service was slow. There's a real need for additional staff because the servers did a remarkable job, but you could tell they were understaffed.

Family dinner, very generous appetizer platter, the pizzas are very good and delicious – a great find!

The set lunch menu (main course + dessert) offered good value for money. The dining room is air-conditioned, which was very welcome given the recent heatwave.

We had lunch there, received a warm welcome, and were served well. Two minor issues: the cream base for the pizza was omitted, and the bread served was very stale (replaced with fresh bread after we mentioned it). The steak tartare was perfect (even though it was pre-prepared), and the pizza was decent. We found the crust to be very good. Prices are a bit higher than average.

Having always ordered takeout for convenience (I have a toddler who can't sit still for 30 minutes), I've never been disappointed. The negative comments about the pizzas probably come from people who don't know what real Italian dough with a thick crust is like Nonna's, not the bland, crepe-like pizzas you find in Brittany (crepes for Bretons, pizza for Italians, right?)! The escalopes are huge, the pasta is flavorful and very well seasoned. Being from northern Italy, I love eating at Gargantua. The ingredients are high quality, my orecchiette are delicious, perfectly cooked, and all at a very reasonable price.
