My visit to Guise Trattoria in Paris was a delightful culinary adventure. The pizza was absolutely delicious, featuring a perfect crust and just the right balance of toppings. However, it was the gnocchi that stole the show - each bite was heavenly, making it a dish I'll remember for a long time. Service throughout our meal was commendable, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Although there was a small hiccup when my son's request for a second Coke Zero was overlooked, the overall quality of food and the warm atmosphere more than made up for this minor oversight. Guise Trattoria has proven to be a standout choice for those craving authentic Italian cuisine in the heart of Paris.

Published on Instagram (ericpaname) “Giusé Trattoria”, like “trattoria de Giuseppe = Joseph, in French”, is not a small, simple and cheap restaurant. At 125, rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré, next to the Saint-Philippe-du-Roule church, this temple of Italian gastronomy is located on the edge of what constituted in the 17th century. the royal nursery. There are numerous and noisy crowds there on two floors: business lunches or simple lunches (menu at €23), impossible to access without reservation. A nice cocktail menu catches my eye. It will be a “cozy”, subtle blend of limoncello, Portofino gin (made from Italian wheat), lemon and hibiscus syrup giving it a pretty trendy shade of Millennial Pink. A traditional Italian meal usually consists of antipasti (starters), primi piatti (first courses, often pasta dishes), secondi piatti (second courses, meat or fish) and dolci (desserts). A little confused, I skipped the first course. My starter will be a “melanzana alla parmigiana”, a millefeuille of eggplant, tomato sauce, mozzarella, parmesan and basil, accompanied by an elegant and deep Fonte Venna 2020 (Abruzzo, Montepulciano) from a generous Italian wine list. Consistent without being drowned in a béchamel or sacrilegious industrial tomato sauce in these places, this millefeuille is a marvel. The “elefante orecchia” to share follows. A huge and very thin breaded and pan-fried veal chop, arugula and tomatoes from Pachino (Sicily) like in Milan. On the dessert menu, we obviously find tiramisu, profiteroles and pannacotta but I prefer to try a rarity: the “cannoli nolita”, cylinders of fried dough typical of Sicilian cuisine, garnished here with gianduja cream. I fear that they will be stuffy like the gigantic cheese rolls that my grandmother of Norman origin often served us as starters in the last century, but no! The dough is airy and crispy under my voracious teeth and the chocolate cream does not invade the inside of the cylinders. A delicious finale to this copious and exquisite lunch and an addition of €75 to the menu, without primi piatti.

We had a lunch last friday. Food is good, the place itself is nice. Sadly, the girl who served our table did not give us a great experience. She did not smile, spoke like a robot. Cold. She was expecting us to take plats from her hands as she did not tend to put the plates on our table a few times. When she gave back the coats to us, she passed our 3 thin coats in one hand (which we think it is not polite) On the other hand, a waiter who passed us a pizza is nice. He was smiling all the time even he was not the main one serving our table.

In the top. The food is good whether you take the 23rd lunch menu or a la carte. It's the meeting place of the whole neighborhood so there are people there at lunchtime. I have been there several times and every dish tried was very good.

Best pizza I've eaten. The products are fresh and of very good quality. The desserts are made on site and are excellent. The only negative point was that the upstairs was a little noisy. I recommend.

Although the prices are expensive... Considering the location, it seems logical. However, the setting is really great, the cuisine is excellent, the desserts are nuggets. The attentive staff. We recommend this address in Paris. And we will definitely come back to it! Thanks again
