It was gray in Saint Rémy, so we ended up at the Grand Café Riche to warm up. To begin with, we particularly appreciated the decor; everything had been carefully chosen, respecting its history while remaining stylish. The welcome was warm, and the waiter and waitress were smiling, competent, and very attentive. The food was good too; the lamb shank and ribeye steak were expertly prepared—you could tell the chef was skilled—and the pear tart we shared was delicious. In short, we had a wonderful meal. We highly recommend it.

A lovely café with a very characteristic atmosphere in Saint Remy We stopped here for a quick and tasty afternoon snack on the veranda. We spent €20 for what you see in the photo.

The welcome was very warm, no complaints there... however, I found the set menu offered that evening rather limited... plus, we booked 5 days in advance and the management didn't inform us that it was like this... A single menu was offered for the "Evening of Lights": only 2 starters, 2 main courses, and 2 desserts to choose from for 38 euros... No option to order just one course... the butternut squash soup arrived lukewarm, the prawns were tasteless... 7 euros for a glass of wine is outrageous... It's a shame, we'd been before and this time they really disappointed us 😞

The only restaurant in St Rémy open that day where we weren't made to feel unwelcome because we were in a wheelchair. Special mention to the waiter who was incredibly kind. We highly recommend this restaurant.

29/10/2025: A hidden gem in the heart of Saint-Rémy! Here, everything is homemade with fresh, seasonal produce, in an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. The menu is short but bursting with Mediterranean flavors, and each dish is prepared with care – a special mention goes to the patio, perfect for a quiet dinner away from the crowds. The welcome is attentive, the service discreet, and you can taste the passion in every dish. The prices are very reasonable for the quality (set menus around €32-42), and the place is ideal for a romantic evening or a meal with food-loving friends. Be sure to book, as the dining room is small and the restaurant is very popular! A real favorite for those who like to take the time to savor authentic, local, and generous cuisine. 26/10/2025: Great restaurant, great atmosphere, the waiter is really great, a really great knowledge of wines, you can get to know a wine list but also the really very local cuisine, really excellent from starter to dessert, an essential stop I think for your visit to Saint Remy, I highly recommend it!
