What a pleasant surprise! Unexpected flavors from appetizer to dessert, a true culinary delight. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Wow the food is simply amazing. Great location, great courtyard. They had a problem with their online booking system so they were double booked that evening which made things a little bit slower than normal. Assuming that this wouldn’t happen to you this is a must stop when in Saint Remy.

A must stop for dinner. Authentic food prepared to order. Small, intimate place, where the owner greets and serves you, and the chef even pops out to say “hi” now and again. It’s small, and fills quick. So make reservations. This may be your best meal in France. It’s as close to having someone invite you to their home for dinner as you are going to get.

Had to book in advance to get a table at this place, but it was worth it. It has a short menu but good variety, and everything is produced using high-quality, fresh, local ingredients. We had the three-course meal each and it was delicious. The crème brûlée is particularly fantastic. I would definitely come here again next time we're visiting. And what was more impressive was that the whole operation was run by just two people, the chef and a waiter. I don't know how they do it, amazing.

We walked by one evening and ended up having one of our best meals on our south of France trip. The cocktails, appetizers, main dishes and dessert were all delicious! The service was in impeccable even though they were understaffed for the evening. I would love to come back.

Excellent, a very good meal. My best restaurant in St Rémy so far. Only four options offered for the starter, as well as for the main course and dessert. Set menu for €49. Pleasant atmosphere and service.

Wonderful meal in a beautifully presented little courtyard setting. Food was fabulous. The service was first class with all the menu options easily explained with suggested wine pairings. Very, very professional at same time as being super relaxing and not at all pretentious. The slow cooker beef main was simply wonderful and rice pudding (which I had) equally good. The other seven members of our party opted for the award winning crème brûlée and were super happy with that choice. Beautiful restaurant not to be missed if looking for a wonderful meal in a beautiful setting.

Excellent cuisine, both tasty and local, affordable, in a friendly atmosphere served by competent and efficient staff, and above all, without any fuss. The place to go for a pleasant and delicious evening in Saint Rémy de Provence ☺️👍.

Gus Restaurant

06/10/2026: We had a very good dinner with friends at this lovely restaurant. We were warmly greeted and shown to our very comfortable table with nice big chairs to sit and relax in. Our waiter was very good and also spoke very good English which made things easier for us. We started with a selection of oysters which were fabulous and super fresh, accompanied by a nice bottle of Deutz champagne. I had the blue lobster which was a special of the day with roast potatoes and salad. The lobster was cooked perfectly, lovely and moist and tasty with a nice garlic/ persilade marinade/ dressing. Our wonderful waiter also recommended a very good local Rose which we all won. My wife and friends also very much enjoyed their meals and it make a great occasion for catching up with our best friends.
05/10/2026: We found the meal just good but not amazing. My husband enjoyed his duck dish though the hanger steak fell a bit flat. The bernaise sauce is not at all what we expected...it was more like a hard butter/paste than a sauce. I wish I had known that prior to ordering as I definitely would have chosen something else.
