A wonderful discovery! The Caveau Gurtlerhoft, the former wine cellar of the cathedral, is a magnificent, calm, and peaceful place. We had a delicious meal, and Cédric, our waiter, was particularly pleasant and attentive. An excellent place I'll definitely return to! 🫶

An iconic and unmissable spot when we're in Strasbourg. The staff are attentive and very helpful. However, it seems to me that the rösti recipe has changed.

Found this restaurant by chance when visiting another one. Impressed by the reviews. The service was friendly and professional except for a small detail when a service person drop in a unfriendly way the plate on the table. The food was good, however not special. I give 3 starts because I got stomach aches the whole night. The indoor air feels very heavy.

Overall, I was satisfied. I had kidneys, which were excellent, BUT... The portion was small and they weren't very hot, which was a shame. Price: €24, compared to competitors who charge €18-€21. I'll come back, but I won't order kidneys again. The service was excellent; the young woman was very attentive and friendly.

A beautiful wine cellar right across from the cathedral. The welcome and service were warm and friendly; the waiters and waitresses were lovely. All the dishes were generous and delicious. Highly recommended.

A truly wonderful spot in the heart of Strasbourg! 🇫🇷 Au Cruchon offers a truly unique setting, right in the heart of Cathedral Square. The atmosphere is warm and typically Strasbourg. The food is excellent, featuring wonderful regional specialties, and the service easily deserves 5 stars: a warm welcome, kindness, and attentiveness throughout the meal. A great place to discover typical Strasbourg cuisine in a charming setting. I highly recommend it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Au Coq Blanc

08/08/2026: Yesterday, the three of us were there, and all the dishes were very good to excellent! The Filet Rossini was perfect, with a highly concentrated, authentic jus sauce, delicate foie gras, and delicious fries. The crème brûlée was one of the best I've ever had, with a perfectly balanced jam base whose acidity helped to counteract the sweetness. The Irish coffee was perfect, and the service was impeccable. A real highlight and excellent value for money. Thank you so much!

Restaurant Illbourg Fuchs am Buckel

16/07/2026: For us Alsatians, it was the "Fuchs am Buckel" of the 1960s, an institution. We went there to try their tarte flambée with a large mixed salad: excellent. If you're looking for a romantic atmosphere on the terrace, this is the place. The garden overlooking the Ill River is beautifully landscaped, and the staff is friendly. Two points to note, however: a limited selection of beers and a somewhat outdated website. We'll definitely go back to try other dishes.
12/06/2026: Delicious tarte flambée, a very nice menu with plenty of choices, including appetizers and beef fillet: a delight, typical Alsatian cuisine, excellent atmosphere, a terrace by the water, perfect in summer, the staff is very attentive. I highly recommend it.
