Pleasant atmosphere, fast service. Hearty meal but unpleasant surprise afterwards, while we had taken Alsatian menus, we realized that the pie of the day included in this menu was charged extra.

The food here is amazing! We loved everything we ate. The Riesling sauce for the chicken was delicious I could have drank it like soup. But even though we made reservations a month ago, we were seated by the toilettes in the busiest area possible by the kitchen. It was hard not to feel that was intentional because we were Americans, especially when there were other tables open. Also, our server didn’t write down our order so got my daughter’s food wrong. She didn’t get her meal until we were all done eating our food. The ambiance is beautiful in the restaurant but since we were by the toilets, we didn’t experience. There is a sweet older man with hair who was so charming. Wish he had been our server. Overall would definitely go back because the food was so good, but would make sure we weren’t seared in such a terrible spot.

The places are full of history, the friendly staff, the absolutely delicious, traditional dishes. I highly recommend

A nice authentic Alsace in the center of Strasbourg. The restaurant is located in an antique cellar, which gives the restaurant a nice old atmosphere. We had snails and flammkuchen and they were nice. The prices are fair.

Very nice cellar vault. The tarte flambées were sparsely topped and not particularly tasty either...

Wonderful regional specialities prepared with care and served by caring staff. Highly recommended! Don't skip dessert!

Very good meal, the server (a great one) is very professional and attentive to customer constraints (half onion and half without). Great value for money for the location.

Restaurant with very good service, too bad the manager is misogynist and is not embarrassed to make very inappropriate remarks. Additionally, some dishes requested without meat arrived with meat and the food quantities were light compared to the price.

Very nice evening spent at the Gurtlerhoft. Restaurant located on the cathedral square ⛪😍 The setting is pleasant in this 14th century vaulted cellar, with a guaranteed medieval and Alsatian atmosphere. Very good service also. We took the “all you can eat tarts flambées” menu and it was delicious 😋.

Very good traditional food and very friendly and attentive service. The price is very acceptable for being in the city center and next to the cathedral.
