Au Bois Vert sur Strasbourg

I was really looking forward to the restaurant, but I was disappointed. The terrace was covered in cobwebs, the tables weren't clean, and our reservation didn't really work out. The food was okay.

Beautiful setting by the water, friendly and smiling waiters, but I felt a bit ignored, left without bread or water until the end of the meal... The food was very good, but nothing exceptional.

It's lovely sitting by the river under a tree, enjoying delicious tarte flambée and friendly service. Everything's great.

A wonderful experience by the water! For me, this is a must-visit when in Strasbourg ❤️ We received a very warm welcome even though we hadn't booked, but I recommend making a reservation if possible, as it gets very busy during peak tourist season. The service was quick, and our waiter was lovely. I'm sorry, because I promised to mention him, but I forgot his name 🙈 (Sébastien, maybe? Not sure 😅). To be perfectly honest, the flammekueche weren't the best we've ever had, but they were more than decent. Special mention goes to the Alsatian coffee, which was perfect. Delicious without being too strong. The real highlight of this restaurant is the setting. Right by the water under this magnificent tree... A true respite in a busy day of sightseeing! I will gladly return on future visits ❤️

Without a doubt the best address within the city limits of Strasbourg.

I had wine and crème brûlée for dinner. The atmosphere was great, and I really liked that the staff walked around frequently. It's beautiful because it's right next to the river.

Too salty...what a shame. The tarte flambée, the Fleischkiechle, the spaetzle—everything was far too salty. My tongue was burning from the salt. It's a shame because the spaetzle were perfectly cooked and crispy, and the venison was delicious. Chef, please halve the salt. Thank you.

Lovely relaxing terrace under the oldest plane tree in Strasbourg. Very nice and welcoming staff.
