A very good experience as always, a very good place!

The food is very good; the okonomiyaki are delicious and the takoyaki are excellent. However, for our Muslim friends, please note that the vegetarian/seafood okonomiyaki are cooked on the same griddle as the bacon ones…

The service was quick and efficient, no complaints there. However, I was disappointed with the food. The takoyaki were too thick and heavy. Also, the chives were on top, not inside as expected. The special okonomiyaki with noodles was nice, but the noodles were on top, not underneath as described, and the flavor wasn't amazing.

One of the many Japanese restaurants near Pyramide station, this one seems to specialize in takoyaki (octopus balls). You can see the open kitchen from the outside (though it probably isn't difficult to make them). The shop isn't big, with small tables for two and four people, as well as a counter area (similar to a bar) where you can watch the chef cook on a teppanyaki grill. Many people only come to get takeout. There are four flavors of takoyaki: original (with bonito flakes, strong fish flavor), soy sauce, green onion and soy sauce, and Japanese mayonnaise. You can choose to add or omit the mayonnaise to each flavor, and you can also choose to add extra toppings (0.5-1 euro extra). The price is 4-4.5 euros for three, and doubles for six. The taste is just average; I personally didn't find it particularly amazing, but it's worth trying if you're used to Japanese sushi and want to try something different. For main courses, they offered Japanese crêpe (which I think is basically egg, cabbage, and batter) and noodles (very bland), as well as a mixed moderne. Aside from the slightly salty grilled pork jerky on top, the overall flavor was very bland; I don't know if they forgot to add salt or if they were respecting the natural flavor of the ingredients (just kidding). For dessert, they had daifuku, ice cream, taiyaki, etc. We ordered taiyaki, but it wasn't hot, and the filling wasn't the lava-like consistency they described. In short, it was a little disappointing; at 5 euros, it felt like we were eating a sandwich. They had a good selection of drinks, including non-alcoholic lactic acid drinks, plum wine, and Japanese sake. I preferred the drinks to the food. Hopefully, this is just a matter of taste on my part; I'll try other Japanese restaurants nearby next time.
