Heraclee plage sur La Croix-Valmer

21/09/2026: We went here for dinner in the evening, just the two of us, and had made a reservation in advance, which wasn't really necessary in the off-season. We sat in the front row, which wasn't exactly pleasant due to the rather strong wind. Moving inside would have been possible, but wouldn't have made much difference. We received our appetizers (fish soup, chicken rolls) and sardines and cod for the main course. To put it simply: the best thing about the meal was the wine. You can buy fish soup and ratatouille in any supermarket, and the sardines were either old or frozen. For that, the prices are too high. But of course, you're also paying for the location. The service and ambiance are good. We wouldn't come back.

17/09/2026: Unfortunately, the place has lost much of its former glory and charm. The portions are small (like the fish soup), the grilled sardines were undercooked, and a simple children's portion of pasta with butter costs €14. We were very disappointed by this decline. Furthermore, the advertising flags on the beach are annoying.
