Marius à la Plage sur La Croix-Valmer

We went here for dinner in the evening, just the two of us, and had made a reservation in advance, which wasn't really necessary in the off-season. We sat in the front row, which wasn't exactly pleasant due to the rather strong wind. Moving inside would have been possible, but wouldn't have made much difference. We received our appetizers (fish soup, chicken rolls) and sardines and cod for the main course. To put it simply: the best thing about the meal was the wine. You can buy fish soup and ratatouille in any supermarket, and the sardines were either old or frozen. For that, the prices are too high. But of course, you're also paying for the location. The service and ambiance are good. We wouldn't come back.

Unfortunately, the place has lost much of its former glory and charm. The portions are small (like the fish soup), the grilled sardines were undercooked, and a simple children's portion of pasta with butter costs €14. We were very disappointed by this decline. Furthermore, the advertising flags on the beach are annoying.

Trees is a great restaurant! Perfect quality/price ratio! Magnificent view, very charming place! Highly recommended.

Beautiful location but overpriced for what it is!! Sorry, but they didn't bring the main course even though we were just finishing our aperitif!! Rookie mistake... the main course was overpriced for its rather average quality, and the desserts were low-end.... The ice cream is much better at a good artisanal ice cream shop, and the profiteroles were heavy and lacked finesse. In the end, a rather hefty bill where you're paying more for the ambiance.

A rather unique setting in the region, right by the sea but quiet, the food is fresh and good, the service is top-notch, chic and tranquil, I love it.

We had lunch here today, a family of three including a 6-month-old baby. The entire team is very welcoming and very "baby & child friendly": high chairs, a large table to accommodate a stroller, and they quickly heated up our little one's meal. The food was absolutely flawless; we all ordered fish: prawns, cod, and seared tuna. The presentation was impeccable, the cooking perfect, and the flavors beautifully balanced. The atmosphere is chic and cozy beach vibes, with plenty of space between the tables, a lovely breeze, and a breathtaking ocean view. We highly recommend it!

The restaurant faces the sea, the view is magnificent, and the atmosphere is cozy. We've been going to this restaurant for a few years now, and the dishes are very tasty, especially the red lentils, fish, and prawns, which I highly recommend! However, we've been disappointed since our first visit. Instead of only positive things, there's now only negative feedback (though it could be changed): a table for three in the entrance (with constant customer traffic) that wasn't mentioned when we made the reservation; cold dishes (which can happen); and no side dishes at 7:30 pm, including the lentil dahl with the cod fillet (no explanation given). Furthermore, the dishes are swimming in oil...see photo. The number of tables has increased significantly, which is a shame because the kitchen and service are both struggling to keep up.
