We came on a Saturday at lunchtime, and it wasn't very busy.
The service was excellent. We didn't have to wait long to be served.
The menu has changed and is even better than the previous one. Good food. With plenty of choices.

A superb time spent enjoying a perfectly cooked ribeye steak, accompanied by a delicious cinnamon twist cocktail and finished with a sweet treat, Dame Blanche! Not forgetting the warm welcome from the Hippo team in Massy, and in particular Dado's smile and top-notch service – friendly and professional. I highly recommend it. Thank you, Dado!

Very good except for the baked apples... The restaurant has a lovely decor, but is quite noisy... There was a very long wait at every stage of the evening, but the poor waitress was running around everywhere. She was lovely, smiling, and very attentive.

So the day before, I ate the same dish at the Hippopotamus in Carré Sénart, precisely to see the difference. The meat wasn't cut like in the menu photo, and like at Carré Sénart, the potato had less sauce and didn't have coarse salt spread on top. In conclusion, the meal was very good, but these small details, compared to other restaurants in the same chain, make a slight difference, which is why I'm not giving it 5 stars for the food.

The quality of the meat seems to have improved significantly.
The meat is more tender.
The sauces are still very small!
The atmosphere is welcoming.
The staff is always smiling, friendly, and attentive to requests.
Being able to stay and chat for quite a while without feeling pressured to leave is very much appreciated.
The terrace is a definite plus when the weather is nice, despite the proximity to major roads.
The value for money is significantly better due to the improved quality of the meat.
