I've been going to Hippopotamus for a very long time, and I was very disappointed this time. The service was incredibly slow, they forgot the bread, and they refused to accept my holiday vouchers even though I use them every time. Plus, they were out of parking tickets.

A great restaurant to visit with the family! I tried the beef tataki and it was absolutely delicious; I highly recommend it (be warned, it is quite spicy!). Furthermore, the welcome and service were excellent. A fantastic place to try without hesitation!

Friendly staff. One of our dishes wasn't quite right when we ordered, but it was fine, they changed it.
However, there was no air conditioning at the restaurant entrance, so it was incredibly hot in the middle of August. Also, online it says they accept holiday vouchers, but in the end, they don't at all, so paying for a restaurant that was included in our holiday voucher budget was a bit of a shock to the wallet, as it was quite expensive. It would be good to update this information because even though the food was good, I wouldn't have eaten there if I had known about the holiday voucher issue beforehand.
Otherwise, overall, the staff is really excellent, helpful, and polite.
