Fantastic experience, it had been a long time since I'd been... absolutely not disappointed, the ribs were amazing... And a very generous gourmet coffee, fast service and a pleasant waiter, flawless, I highly recommend it and will be back as soon as possible...

First time having lunch with friends at this Hippopotamus restaurant. I was delighted with the experience. I had ribs with fries that were perfectly cooked. We finished with an ice cream dessert, all in a pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant is air-conditioned and the service is quick and attentive. The price-quality ratio is good. I recommend this place and will return as soon as possible.

The food was good and the service pleasant. However, I was very surprised by the payment terminal, which automatically suggested 10%, 15%, or 20% tips. I found this practice rather intrusive, as it puts the customer in an uncomfortable position with the server. In France, service is included in the price. Tipping should remain a free and spontaneous gesture. It would be much more appropriate to allow customers to freely enter an amount, rather than directly suggesting percentages. This practice, in my opinion, has no place in French restaurants.

Disappointing experience. To begin with, you can barely taste the alcohol in the cocktails because it's so minimally measured, which is surprising considering the price. The food was okay, nothing special. As for the "chouchou" sundae, I'll give away the flavor, but you can't taste the nougat at all, and there's just an abundance of caramel. And what I find most disappointing is the service. The waitress wasn't smiling; she was practically sulking. I saw her texting while customers were standing next to her waiting to pay, but she didn't care. I even saw her slumped in an armchair during service. I suggest she consider a career change, and quickly. This kind of behavior really doesn't create a good reputation, especially when everything else is so mediocre. By the way, what do you have to do to get chips from the lady with the headband? We ordered cocktails and were smiling and friendly. If we had served her, we would have fared much better. I'm not in a hurry to go back. I gave it 3 stars; I think I'm being too generous. Let's say it's a note of encouragement to do better.
