Never disappointed, express service and yummy ramen broth, we had mushroom ramen 😋

The ramen was just okay. The meat pieces were poor quality. Don't order the tonkatsu or sukiyaki; they're nothing like the original. The tonkatsu had a generic Dijon mustard, and the sauce was oddly runny. The sukiyaki had had inedible pieces of meat removed. It's a shame; it was good two years ago.

Having been a regular at this restaurant for over 15 years, I admit I was worried after the change of ownership and the disappearance of all the familiar faces in the kitchen. So yes, things have changed a bit. On the plus side, the decor has really improved. On the downside, the gyoza, while still much better than what you find in suburban restaurants, have declined in quality somewhat. The Katsudon has remained roughly the same, the curry rice is a little smaller, and given the amount of sauce, it could use a bit more rice, but the taste is good. In short, we've lost a little something, but if the new owners work on their recipes, they can bring back the good old days of Hokkaido. I'll be back. P.S.: The restrooms are clean, but a fresh coat of paint on the floor and new doors would make the place more welcoming.

The restaurant is very good, the ramen is absolutely delicious. The service is very fast and the servers are very kind and pleasant. I highly recommend it.

A small addendum since a change of ownership and two recent visits: avoid the new gyozas; they're cooked stuck together and are inedible. The service is passable, and you get the feeling you're bothering the waitresses. The Mabodon is still excellent. Twelve years ago, I wrote: "This is the kind of place you want to keep secret, the restaurant where you take your best friends as if you were giving them a gift. Anyone who knows Hokkaido belongs to a lucky circle who will be able to taste the incredible Mabodon (yes, with a capital M), and will finish it down to the last grain of rice, much to their surprise. And the homemade gyozas alone deserve a paragraph. And all the dishes are under €15...that says it all..." The prices have obviously increased considerably....
