A hotel in Gourdon that I discovered by chance during a mountain bike trip. A hotel that stands out from the rest, and is unforgettable; the staff are particularly welcoming; the cuisine is outstanding (really!), the wine list is miraculous, and above all, the kind of service that we don't see anymore; a true step back in time, in the best sense of the word. Quiet, understated elegance from a past era. This hotel is everything a hotel should be. Quiet, comfortable, well furnished rooms. Attention to detail, excellent service, nice mattress. Safe place to store my bike, easy access to old town. Eat at the dining room and prepare to spend a few hours enjoying the experience. The quality, preparation, and presentation of the food is impeccable.

Wow, what a surprise this lovely hotel was! We ended up there due to a breakdown with our campervan. It was a stroke of luck that there were rooms available, as it was peak season and extra busy due to an event and a public holiday. The owner speaks good English, which was incredibly helpful after all the hassle with the failed campervan assistance. He was able to give us directions to get back on the road. The service was truly excellent! We're very grateful for that. The hotel itself is like stepping back in time. Romantic, with a typically French atmosphere. Superbly maintained, everything is neat and clean. The good air conditioning was also very welcome in that heat. It's in a beautiful location, just behind the shopping streets.

We spent one night at this hotel; the rooms are very comfortable. The dinner was excellent, homemade with local produce. The owners are very welcoming and take the time to chat with guests. I recommend this establishment for the welcome, the quality of the food, and the decor, which brings back memories of our childhood.
