I tasted escargot for the first time here and I want to eat it for every meal for the rest of my life. I am obsessed with their escargot. I have never had it anywhere else so I feel blessed my first experience was this divine. How are Americans not obsessed with this dish? My French husband has mentioned escargot is good but I had no idea it was THIS HEAVENLY! We came back a second time and the escargot was unwavering in its exceptional delicious holiness. We will be back a third time and yes I will order it again if available. The duck and other dishes we had were just as wonderful. I am smitten and charmed by this quaint historical place. The staff is lovely. Did I mention I love their escargot? This is a must visit for the history, ambiance, food, escargot, staff, and escargot. Okay I am unapologetically addicted. If I was a millionaire I would hire the chef to make me escargot everyday for the rest of my life. Thank you for this experience -an American who will forever long for your escargot

The restaurant's decor and ambiance immediately transported us to another world. The welcome was simply exceptional: warm, attentive, and highly professional. The service was impeccable, with a passionate team who took the time to advise us on dishes and wine pairings with great precision. As for the cuisine… it was pure enchantment! Each dish was a masterpiece, as beautiful as it was delicious. The flavors were refined, the ingredients of high quality, and the combinations perfectly executed. Gastronomic cuisine of remarkable finesse that offers a truly sensory experience. The foie gras trio was unforgettable! The profiteroles with a tureen of chocolate were exceptional!!! 🤩 A huge congratulations to the chef and his entire team for this exceptional moment. This is without a doubt one of the best gourmet restaurants we've ever had the pleasure of discovering! We highly recommend it!

Passing through Provins, we had a very pleasant time at L'Hostellerie de la Croix d'Or. The telephone contact was pleasant, as was the welcome upon arrival. The service was impeccable. The kidneys were perfectly pink, the fish ideally cooked, and the sauces were flawless. Even the dessert was delightful. All this in a truly authentic setting.
