10/07/2026: A very warm, family-run welcome; they took great care of us, adapted to the heat, and provided fans. The meal was hearty and delicious, with cheese specialties (it made us want to eat raclette in July!).

13/07/2026: Passing through Provins, we had a very pleasant time at L'Hostellerie de la Croix d'Or. The telephone contact was pleasant, as was the welcome upon arrival. The service was impeccable. The kidneys were perfectly pink, the fish ideally cooked, and the sauces were flawless. Even the dessert was delightful. All this in a truly authentic setting.

21/04/2026: The appetizers arrive at the same time as the main course... The €22 burger is even sadder than a basic McDonald's cheeseburger, which says it all. It bears no resemblance to the enticing picture on the menu. In short, avoid at all costs.

20/06/2026: Incredible! The welcome toasts were a taste of what was to come. The appetizers were delicious. The main courses were exquisite. The sauces... wow! So flavorful. The wine was very good. A must-visit.

14/06/2026: While in Provins for the Medieval Festival, we stumbled upon Les Bristrophiles quite by chance, and what a wonderful discovery it was! The welcome was very warm, and we were treated to a delicious amuse-bouche. The dishes were excellent, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Special mention goes to the pork tenderloin with its Brie de Provins sauce and parsley potatoes—absolutely incredible—as well as the Brie de Provins served with rose petal jam, a true delight. A truly wonderful restaurant that we wholeheartedly recommend. We will gladly return on our next visit to Provins!

10/06/2026: Arriving in town at 9 pm on a Friday after our drive, we were looking for a good restaurant. This one said yes, no problem, without even mentioning whether the kitchen was closing or anything. Anyway, we had to rush to order. My partner ordered a starter and a main course, and after two main courses that were no longer available, I ordered by default. My partner grabbed the wine list and was scolded by the waitress. They told him to leave it and looked at the next table. Then he got his starter and asked the price of a wine. She arrogantly told him to wait and come back, saying he hadn't even finished before they brought the main courses. I asked them to give him time to finish. She came back, and he barely had time to finish his bite. She took the starter away and immediately brought the main courses. I asked her to send the dishes back to the kitchen because that wasn't acceptable. I asked to see the head chef, who told us the kitchen closed at 9:30 pm, even though they were still accepting tables. I refused. I asked for the bill, thankfully, because paying their prices for dishes in a fancy restaurant only to be served... This way, P preferred to go eat a kebab. If it's for a quick meal, I did this job for 16 years and I don't forgive mistakes like this. They should change jobs if they're afraid of finishing later than 10 pm on a Friday night in a tourist area, or they should refuse outright. But being a cash cow for €140 in 30 minutes? No thanks. I don't recommend this place at all. Go across the street if you arrive earlier, or to the square a little further down, or even walk to the top of town; you'll get better service.

26/05/2026: The restaurant's setting is really cute, and given all the positive reviews, I was expecting a great time. Unfortunately, the food was a real disappointment. The beef ribs were way overcooked and desperately lacked marinade. As for the mashed potatoes, they were a real shame: they seemed to have been made with tap water that tasted awful, completely ruining the side dish. It's a real pity because the potential is there, but the food fell far short of my expectations that day. Nothing tasted homemade.

04/08/2026: For a simple order of two coffees, three small donuts, and a Happy Meal, the list of shortcomings is long: - No sauces (even though they were paid extra). - No toy (which is the whole point of a Happy Meal!). - Cold fries. - Glasses that were less than clean. And now, let's talk about the donuts. It's nice to be able to choose the flavors at the kiosk… but the employees should actually respect those choices: 0 out of 3 were honored. When I went to see the managers, I almost felt like I was in the wrong simply for asking for the donuts I had ordered. I was greeted by several managers who were clearly annoyed by my request (I reiterate that I simply wanted my three small donuts). And to top it all off, the cherry on the cake 🍒: after demanding my precious doughnuts, I receive them… frozen! If I'd wanted ice cream, I would have ordered it from the kiosk. 🤔 So I go back to ask if this block of speculoos ice cream sprinkled with powdered sugar is normal. I'm told yes, "it's protocol." 🧊 I'm stunned. I've learned that from now on, you have to bring your own microwave, a sponge to wash your own dishes, your own tubes of sauce, and a large bag of courtesy to compensate for the lack of one provided by some employees… All this just to hope to have a pleasant experience there.

03/08/2026: 35 minutes in and our order is still not complete or served. I see that the fries and some sandwiches are prepared on a tray and have been waiting for quite some time; everything must be cold. I can see that the manager would have served them to me without any problem... refund and goodbye McDonald's.

22/07/2026: Hello my good servants, upon my arrival at Lord Macdo's castle, I placed my order and waited for over 45 minutes. After this wasted time and with my horse exhausted, the waitress finally brought me my tray. I do not recommend this restaurant; it's so low-end.

21/07/2026: Came off route to enjoy the convenience of McDonalds normally good service. Don’t know if there was a staffing issue but hardly any customers and my tiny order was not delivered to the table complete. Asked for the missing frites and waited, waited, waited. Re entered store to find the request had been forgotten. Store still pretty much empty

21/03/2026: I was delighted with my two classes. I learned new techniques in both pastry making and main courses. The atmosphere was very friendly. I highly recommend it.

13/03/2026: My future groom-to-be and my two amazing bridesmaids had the brilliant idea of ​​introducing me to this activity for my bachelorette party. It was a fantastic time full of laughter and delicious treats, and I had the pleasure of meeting our chef, "Super Coco." I definitely plan to come back with my future husband.
