Hotel de l'Abbaye sur Grande-Riviere

A real gem! Upon arrival, you might wonder where you've landed, as the hotel is situated in such a quiet and secluded location. And yet... what a wonderful surprise! The Logis de l'Abbaye is a family-run hotel where you immediately feel at home. You can feel the passion of the owners, who have been running this establishment for four generations, and it makes all the difference. Our room and bathroom were modern, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. The view of the lake is magnificent and invites relaxation. A few sun loungers are provided to fully enjoy the scenery, and the spa is a real bonus for rejuvenation. We also thoroughly enjoyed dinner: delicious dishes, prepared with care, which perfectly complemented this wonderful experience. A huge thank you to the owner, whose kindness, good humor, and charming accent greatly contributed to making our stay unforgettable. We had a wonderful mother-daughter getaway at this hotel. This is the kind of place that we recommend with great pleasure and where we already want to come back.

A very nice hotel on the lakefront, ideal for a short break in the Jura region. The staff are very friendly and the surroundings are magnificent. One small drawback: for a room at €230, it's a shame that access to the swimming pool isn't included and that you have to pay an extra €18 per person. Fortunately, the lake with its private beach allows you to fully enjoy swimming. Regarding the air conditioning, it was always on but didn't really cool the room down in the evening, which is a bit surprising. Despite these minor points, we had an excellent stay and would gladly return.

Nice hotel with spacious and very clean rooms. However, we were a little surprised to be woken up at 9:30 am by the cleaning lady who entered our room, even though we were only there for one night and hadn't returned the key card. We would have liked to mention it at reception upon departure, but the receptionist didn't ask us how our stay had been, so we assumed she wasn't interested—quite surprising considering the price. Otherwise, we were on half-board, and the meal was good, although the portions could have been more generous.

We had a wonderful time at this establishment, which remains simple yet of very high quality. We particularly enjoyed the restaurant and the delightful service, with its extra personalized touches. We were able to sample excellent wines by the glass with our superb dinner, and breakfast was made available for our very early departure. The only downside was the gentleman at reception (the manager?), who was rather unfriendly and, in our opinion, should find another place to do his accounts. This made the reception experience quite unpleasant.

A very good hotel for exploring this beautiful region. The lake itself is also beautiful, and you can take a walk or a run around it, but I especially wanted to visit the Hérisson Waterfalls, the Flumen Waterfalls, hike to the Belvédère des 4 Lacs viewpoint, visit Baume-les-Messiers, etc., and this hotel was well located for all the activities I had planned. The owners are very kind and welcoming, both at reception and in the restaurant. My room was also comfortable and very clean, and the bathroom was spacious and modern. There's also an empty fridge in the room, perfect if you want to keep something in it to take with you on your hikes. The balcony was also nice. I tried to use the pool, but it was full every time. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with many good-quality local products and a wide variety of choices. There were eggs, plenty of cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, fruit… and the bread was also very good. The evening meal was also good, and I appreciated that fruit salad was available as an option. I just found the prices of the à la carte options a bit high. But I highly recommend this hotel if you want to explore the area, and I'll definitely be back. 👌👌👌

We had a wonderful weekend at the Hotel de l'Abbaye celebrating a 40-year friendship. Everything met our expectations. The spa area is beautifully designed. The staff is welcoming and efficient. The hotel has a warm and family-friendly atmosphere. We felt right at home! Whether in our room, at the restaurant, the bar, or by the pool, the breathtaking views of the lake are truly enchanting! I definitely plan to return!
