Hôtel des Remparts sur Salers

This place is as beautiful inside as it is outside. The location is simply magnificent, with its view of the Auvergne mountains. As the sun sets, the place becomes even more magical. And what can be said about the village of Salers, with its ancient stones and medieval atmosphere? As for the hotel, it pays a beautiful tribute to the surroundings. Excellent in every way, the on-site restaurant is of very high quality, all served by a dynamic and friendly staff. A truly beautiful image of France!

We enjoyed the spa for two hours. The welcome was truly exceptional, filled with kindness and attentiveness. The facilities are very welcoming and clean. We had a wonderful time, with a beautiful view in a peaceful and rejuvenating setting. I highly recommend it.

Beautifully renovated hotel with lovely rooms, excellent cuisine, and friendly staff. A very pleasant place to stay.

A very nice hotel; the renovation seems recent. The room was comfortable, the bathroom spotless, the welcome perfect, and the housekeeping team efficient. As for the restaurant, the breakfasts were perfect and generous with a lovely view, and the dinner with the langoustine appetizer was delicious. In short, delighted with this all-too-short stay. All the best!

A first for us, and we weren't disappointed… The service was very pleasant, as was the ambiance… For the aperitif, we were offered local canapés. For the starters, the plates were very generous and delicious: "Warm Goat Cheese on Toast, Ice Cream & Herb Mousse" (see photo 2) and a daily special (photo 3). As for the main courses… What can I say, except that they were a delight! Salers Beef Steak with Bleu d'Auvergne Cream & Truffade… a dish I highly recommend because it was so delicious, especially if you like very tender meat (photo 4). And a daily special that really filled my partner up! (Photo 5). A set menu for under €30 including starter, main course, and dessert or cheese. Which is very reasonable, considering the quality of the ingredients, whether for families or even couples. A very relaxing setting. 😇

A very nice hotel located in a beautiful village. The rooms are comfortable, the staff extremely friendly, and the food excellent. We had a very pleasant stay and we will be back.

Stay from April 7th to 9th. A warm welcome with smiles, laughter in the kitchen—the staff were fantastic! Pure joy, nothing but positive things to say! The hotel is perfect and the restaurant delicious. The village is simply delightful and the shopkeepers welcoming. An excellent place to stay.

The hotel is very well located at the edge of Salers, with magnificent views from the rooms that have them. The room is spacious enough, and the bed is comfortable. One minor drawback: a few hairs on the shower floor left by the previous guests. But even if you don't stay at the hotel, the restaurant and the cuisine prepared by the chef are well worth a visit! The dishes were delicious and very generous. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely return to eat and stay there.
