A very good dinner. Offering dishes from the North of France is a challenge in such a gastronomic region. After a day in the cold gardening, I needed a hearty meal: I was served a generous and delicious Welsh rarebit. I had trouble finishing it! The service was friendly and unpretentious. A great place to eat well without breaking the bank. I'll be back to try the other dishes from the North, or even the pizzas, which looked delicious and smelled wonderful.

For a very pleasant night, passing through on the way back from vacation. Thanks to the owner for the welcome. We didn't see Madame, but the food is very good. I won't forget the carbonnade, a truly delicious, melt-in-the-mouth dish. My husband later regretted not having this dish too, as he's from the North. And yes, you were teasing, but with the kindness of Northerners. And yes, the people of Lens were stronger. Thank you for choosing the local rosé wine; it's good.

Being a Chti myself, I rediscovered the taste of childhood...the taste of the north...the boss Fabrice was very friendly...fricadelle fries were delicious...see you soon

We had a great night. The owners were great, attentive and very accommodating. A spacious, clean, and comfortable accommodation. The accommodation is located just below their restaurant, which was a plus for us. We'll keep your contact information in case we visit again.

20/09/2025: We ate at La Gabare last night with my partner and her mother. It's always so good and plentiful. The restaurant is for sale, I hope it's just a passing idea because we would miss the kindness, the atmosphere, the quality of the dishes and their great generosity. It's the second time I've had the mountain burger and I'm enjoying it so much that I hope to be able to eat more next year. And if the restaurant sells anyway, we'll follow Cathy, the owner, in her projects which we hope won't be too far off.
15/09/2025: Very pleasant welcome, restaurant with a view of the Dordogne. I ordered the vegan plate ☺️ a killer with the mint sauce I loved it. Very generous and very tasty plate. I highly recommend it
