Hotel du Dauphine sur Chatillon-En-Diois

Very charming hotel with pretty, very clean and comfortable rooms and above all a restaurant with succulent dishes where I tasted a tajine with Diois lamb and also the lemon ravioli and of course let's not forget the desserts: the tart nuts and homemade frozen nougat: a treat! I will come back hoping to taste the chocolate fondant next time! In addition, the medieval village of Châtillon is classified as a botanical village and you can easily take walks along the river or discover the surrounding forest with its waterfall. I would add that lunch or dinner on the terrace while listening to the fountain is really pleasant!

Friendly welcome in high season, despite record crowds in the village. The waitresses have a smile, The chef offers a very simple menu of 3 or 4 dishes of local origin and fresh produce; It offers superb Archiane trout (ultra local production) in tagine... with perfect cooking; frankly hats off chef!! The dessert is also homemade: I recommend the frozen nougat or the lemon tart: finally a restaurant that does not offer industrial desserts. In short, a very good time that I will repeat quickly. The price: fair, and even in my opinion interesting for the quality and this 100% local and well-cooked menu.

C'est la 4ème fois que nous dînons ici en deux séjours (étés 2021 et 2023) et, si nous étions très satisfaits il y a deux ans, nous avons été très déçus cette fois. La cuisine est toujours très soignée et utilise des produits locaux, de ce côté-là, pas de problème. En revanche les prix ont bien augmenté, mais surtout le service n'est plus du tout à la hauteur : même si nous sommes en vacances, nous aurions aimé qu'on s'occupe de nous au lieu de nous laisser presque 30 minutes sans venir nous voir une fois que nous étions installés. Même chose en fin de repas : plus personne ne s'est présentée à nous et nous avons dû chercher quelqu'un de disponible pour payer. On a vraiment eu l'impression de déranger alors que nous avions réservé. C'est une expérience plutôt décevante et nous irons désormais juste en face Aux Deux Mondes, où l'accueil est super sympa, la cuisine est bonne, les prix doux et où le client ne se sent pas de trop !

Accueil sympa, cuisine correcte (les ravioles sont au itron sont bonnes) mais tarif trop élevé.
