Hotel Du Roc Restaurant sur Castellane

We are not very restaurant-oriented because we are often disappointed and yesterday at lunchtime, wanting to treat ourselves, we randomly came across this one and were delighted by the welcome and the abundant and succulent daily menu. The lady is of Portuguese origin and we visited her beautiful country by bike.

While passing through Castellane, we had dinner in this hotel and we had a great time! We didn't expect to find Portuguese specialties here, but I must say that after a good hike, the octopus feidjoada was fabulous!!! We appreciated the quality of the service (the restaurant was full) and the kindness of the waitresses. I loved the little local aperitif made with lavender and raspberry! I recommend!

One night at the Hôtel du Roc. Everything was perfect for me. Great welcome, the owner very active, very caring for us at breakfast time. The ideal location for visiting the city, magnificent region.

Came here for food only. It was OK. It's a busy little town at times and I'd recommend that you make reservations for your evening meal.

Reviews for the restaurant: Despite the pink napkins on gray tables which didn't really set off the restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised by the cuisine. The prawns flambéed with pastis were excellent! The rum baba was a little too strong in rum but it was very good. The breakfast formula at 7 euros is very advantageous, I recommend!

Seconda cena a Castellane e dopo la deludente esperienza della sera prima scegliamo in modo del tutto casuale il Du Roc. Ecco le mie impressioni. LOCATION 3: il ristorante confina con la reception ed anche l'arredamento non colpisce per bellezza o raffinatezza; diciamo che avrebbe bisogno di una bella rinfrescata. SERVIZIO 7: personale gentile. la ragazza che ci ha servito, pur non facendo il minimo sforzo per dire qualcosa in italiano ha però cercato di illustrare bene i piatti ed è stata gentile e cordiale, ed anche paziente. MENU' 6: Si può scegliere tra un menù composto da un antipasto, un primo o un secondo ed infine un dolce, oppure si può andare alla carta. L'origine portoghese del proprietario si trova in alcuni piatti di stampo lusitano che rappresentano qualcosa di diverso e alternativo rispetto alla cucina francese. Buoni alcuni piatti, altri un po meno ma la sufficienza ci stà tutta. CONTO 6: Tendenzialmente sul caro anche qua. Il menù degustazione viene 30€ a cui però si deve aggiungere tutto il resto. Il risultato è un conto che alla fine lievita a circa 50€ a persona.

A chaque fois, l'accueil est chaleureux et la satisfaction des clients est de mise. Ce restaurant propose une cuisine authentique avec des produits de saison et de qualité: Vous aurez le choix entre des plats provençaux ou une cuisine française gourmande et même des plats portugais si vous le souhaitez... Nous recommandons notamment la daube provençale ou les gambas flambées au whisky (un régal) ! Pour terminer le repas notamment, nous avons un faible pour le sorbet génépi toujours aussi savoureux ! Vous l'aurez compris, nous recommandons vivement ce restaurant ! Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !!
