Hotel Restaurant Campanile sur Avignon

My husband and I booked a room for one night. Upon arrival at reception, the service was great; the receptionist was friendly and gave us the room code. Once in the room, it seemed fine until I went into the bathroom and saw mold on the bathtub wall, a black stain that wouldn't come off on the toilet bowl, and dirty vents. I was shocked to see that the shower gel was in a soap dispenser, which is usually used for hands; I didn't appreciate that. Then I even checked under a purple light for bedbugs or any other signs, but thankfully I didn't find any. I found the room's atmosphere cold and depressing—white walls and ceiling—it was rather dreary. It was a bit expensive for what it was. If I had known, improvements wouldn't have hurt, for example, changing the room layout and the ambiance to make it less lifeless. I was disappointed.

Overall, everything went well, from check-in to the room and breakfast. The only downside was the shower head, which didn't work and was quite inconvenient when showering.

We received a very warm welcome and the hotel was very friendly, but the room had no heating and we were a bit cold. The sink was clogged, which was a shame, and there was a lot of mold around the bathtub, which was a bit of a nuisance. The shutter in the room was broken! The room itself was very clean, but I think it needs some work to get it back in good condition!

A simple, quiet roadside motel, ideal for one night. Breakfast included.

This motel-style hotel (formerly a Campanile) has renovated rooms, but the comfort is spartan. There's a space heater to compensate for the broken air conditioning, the ceiling light is out, the TV hasn't been reprogrammed in ages, there's no hot water at the sink, and there's mold at the base of the bathroom walls. The dining room is separate from the rooms. The food is adequate. The hotel is located in a commercial area quite far from the historic city center. The room price of €83 is high for the level of comfort offered.
