Obviously, this isn't a gourmet restaurant. The bill is a bit high, of course, because we're seated on the terrace overlooking the Palais des Papes. But the food is quite good, and the service was quick and pleasant.

Despite a decent meal, our waiter sighed and rolled his eyes when we politely asked for a bottle of water and a doggy bag! Furthermore, we were charged for the Parmesan cheese in our pasta carbonara without being informed... why not charge for salt and pepper while they're at it?

To begin with, the setting is really lovely, right across from the Palais des Papes, one of Avignon's must-see attractions. As for the food, I really enjoyed the tartiflette, one of my favorite Savoyard dishes. The hostess was very friendly, as was the waiter. Just one small complaint: I ordered a glass of rosé and was served red wine instead, which I didn't like. The prices are a bit high, but given the location, that's understandable.

So I don't understand the many negative reviews. We ate last night in front of the Palais des Papes and everything went very well. It might be a little more expensive than elsewhere, but given the setting, I don't regret it. The waitress was pleasant and smiling, the food was very good, nothing to complain about.

You're practically under the Papal Palace with a breathtaking view. We had a lovely aperitivo, and considering the location, the prices were excellent.

We were delighted to enjoy two delicious ice creams on the terrace of the In&Off restaurant. A big plus for the wonderful homemade red berry coulis with real pieces of strawberries! A delight! Thank you, we'll be back 😊

18/08/2026: I'm giving this place five stars, hoping to redeem it for everyone, but it's a total disaster. The staff are incredibly enthusiastic, greeting customers in various languages ​​to create a perfect atmosphere of friendliness. The menu listed coffee as 2 euros. After two coffees arrived, the waiter didn't ask for payment immediately. Normally in France, you pay before the food, but here the food comes first, and you pay after you touch it. Then came a mixed coffee. I was so shocked I didn't dare drink it and quickly paid to leave. The bill came to 7 euros per cup, 14 euros for two. Arguing with the cashier was pointless; he insisted it was 7 euros per cup, 14 euros in total. In conclusion, the menu prices are misleading. You only find out how much you owe when you're about to pay, and the resulting disappointment might make you hate Avignon forever.

09/02/2026: My husband and I booked a room for one night. Upon arrival at reception, the service was great; the receptionist was friendly and gave us the room code. Once in the room, it seemed fine until I went into the bathroom and saw mold on the bathtub wall, a black stain that wouldn't come off on the toilet bowl, and dirty vents. I was shocked to see that the shower gel was in a soap dispenser, which is usually used for hands; I didn't appreciate that. Then I even checked under a purple light for bedbugs or any other signs, but thankfully I didn't find any. I found the room's atmosphere cold and depressing—white walls and ceiling—it was rather dreary. It was a bit expensive for what it was. If I had known, improvements wouldn't have hurt, for example, changing the room layout and the ambiance to make it less lifeless. I was disappointed.
