Disappointed, I thought I'd celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary with a nice gourmet meal, but no; the service was adequate, the presentation of the dishes was beautiful, but it lacked that little something extra, and I have doubts about whether it was homemade. A good brasserie, really.

Warm welcome, good service, excellent cuisine, including a succulent seafood sauerkraut. A suggestion: expand the wine list and train a server in sommelier skills. We ordered the Chablis (excellent) to accompany our meal, but were offered the Pinot Gris, which was too sweet. Not much to choose from.
A very good time, however, with efficient and fast service. A place to remember and recommend.

Hello, a new discovery to delight our taste buds. Upon entering, we discover a large, very large establishment. I don't know how many seats there are, but it quickly reaches a hundred. We were greeted, not exactly warmly, and since we hadn't made a reservation, the waiter jotted down the table number on his A4. From there, we followed him, and he left us, saying he'd seat us here. I would have preferred something like "does this table suit you?" because there was plenty to choose from. The establishment is clean, the room is starting to look dated, even though there are paintings for sale hanging on the wall. The seats and tables are comfortable; I was on a bench with soft cushions, no complaints.
Anyway, we were seated and pored over the menu. We opted for two Epicurean menus for 40 euros. For starters, a Vendée snail tartlet and shredded duck in a purse. For main courses, a sea bass fillet with beurre blanc sauce and homemade mashed potatoes, and seared red mullet fillets with rice and beurre blanc sauce. For dessert, the tatie apple tart and a colonnel (yes, the classic vodka sorbet). We place our order and order a bottle of white wine for the aperitif and meal.
The bottle arrives, and we take our glasses. By the time we've gotten a taste, the starters are already arriving. We look at each other, a little suspicious of such a quick preparation. But it must be said, it's good.
The main course arrives at a more coordinated time. It must be said that it's very good: the fish is well-cooked, well-seasoned, the beurre blanc is well-made, the mashed potatoes and rice are very good, a truly beautiful and delicious dish. Bravo! The desserts arrive a good distance away, and finally, a real Colónbel, really well washed down with vodka. The tarte tatin is good.
All in all, a good, even very good meal, with a few flaws in the service, but a good overall impression.

Second time in 3 days that we come to eat at l'espadon it's just too good the dishes are of quality as well as the waiter/waitress service at the top I recommend it was so good that despite the starter and the main course being very generous and very good my brother had two desserts you can go there with your eyes closed 🤗bravo to the whole team 🥳

We had dinner with friends and had a wonderful evening, with impeccable welcome and service. The food was delicious from starter to dessert. We also really enjoyed the peaceful setting. We will be back!
