Going to Ikea on a public holiday, you know your arrival time but not your departure time... 😅 Looking for a specific item and not finding it, I asked Christophe, an Ikea sales assistant, for help.
Despite the crowds, he kept smiling and took the time to explain things to us.

It had been a long time since I'd visited this store.
Free and huge parking. 👍🏼
Their displays are always great and give lots of ideas, especially when you have limited space.
The staff are visible and available to help, which is great and important.
It's just a little difficult to break the flow of the store if you're not used to it. 😅
I found what I came for (a huge metal shoehorn) and a few unexpected kitchen utensils. It's still a great place, even if some prices seemed a bit high. A good find.

We went to buy a desk for our 6-year-old daughter.
Angelique, from the Finance department, approached us. We weren't very receptive, but her professionalism and interpersonal skills quickly turned the situation around. Thanks to her advice and her attitude with our children, we left with a custom-made desk for our daughter.
Thank you again for this experience; you have a true professional on your team. It's a welcome change from the delivery service, which hides behind subcontractors when your gate gets damaged.
