Il Cappello sur Najac

16/05/2026: What a fabulous place! In all our travels around the world, never have we received a welcome like the welcome we had at L’ Oustal del Barry. Warm, welcoming and very personal, what a great place to stay. From start to finish, the quality of service, food, ambience and the sheer feeling of ‘being looked after’, was impeccable. Definitely somewhere to visit again and although Najac is a really interesting place to visit, it’s worth going there for the hotel alone! Congratulations on creating such a memorable place to stay!

16/05/2026: My rating is a combination of our stay in the hotel which I’d rate 5 stars and dinner in their restaurant at 3 stars. We had a lovely room with balcony overlooking the valley. Our hostess was so welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. Ideas for walks; drinks on the terrace. The room itself is comfortable with a good bed. Our dinner was disappointing. My beef was just OK. Some of it was so sinewy I couldn’t cut or chew it. My wife’s local special of the rolled pork was awful. She said it tasted like cardboard it was so dry. The service was excellent and the outlook of the restaurant is lovely. Perhaps we just got unlucky 🧐
