A small and authentic local restaurant We took the 3-course menu and really enjoyed it. The food was tasty, fresh, local and authentic, with a lovely focus on seasonal ingredients. The zucchini flower was our absolute favorite — definitely something we would recommend trying! It’s a small restaurant with no tables on the terrace, so a reservation is highly recommended.

We had the most wonderful evening here. The staff were so lovely and our waitress gave us an excellent red wine recommendation. The food was beautifully presented, simple flavours very well executed. The quality of the ingredients was also a standout, the pork main course that we had was just delicious. All in all we had a great time and would highly recommend.

We had booked a table at 9:15 pm at the restaurant Il était une fois and had a very pleasant evening. The service was impeccable: the staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. We enjoyed a delicious meal, and the dishes were beautifully presented. The wine list also offered a good selection, with bottles in various price ranges to suit all budgets.

Excellent restaurant! Every dish is delicious, from the appetizers to the desserts and even the cocktails, and the service is very welcoming. If only we lived in the area so we could come back more often!

25/08/2026: Amazing find in Aix-en-Provence! The quality was fantastic, and the service was immaculate. There was only one server managing the entire restaurant, yet you would never have guessed it, everything was smooth, attentive and incredibly well done. The food was super creative, delicious and full of flavour. I also think the price is completely fair given the quality of both the food and the service. And kudos to the beef tartare with apple chips, it was INSANE. Absolutely worth a visit!
