JFF Foucher sur Cherbourg-Octeville

Visited for breakfast, was tasty but portions were very small. Had eggs with bacon, was a tiny amount of bacon and 3 small pieces of baguette. Had to visit a bakery afterwards.

The pastries are excellent and regularly updated. The saleswomen serve customers with class and kindness.

We stopped there by chance and were extremely pleased. The menu is limited in choice, but it guarantees very high-quality food prepared right in front of you, all at a reasonable price. The staff (cooks, servers, and Chef Jean-François Foucher) are all very attentive to their customers and ensure their well-being in all three of their establishments. We will definitely return if the opportunity arises again.

Hello, I don't usually write Google reviews, but I'm so shocked by these outrageous comments. I'm always warmly welcomed by the entire team, who are always smiling (probably because I am too...). The bread is excellent, the pastries are wonderful, always carefully packaged. Everything is made with great care, which shows a tremendous amount of work goes into it. The service and the quality of the trattoria are excellent. I don't understand how such an outpouring of hatred against people who work so hard can be considered satisfactory. It's a shame we can't rate customer behavior; that would be much more distressing! These three places are the best and unmissable in Cherbourg. Let's behave respectfully to preserve this expertise!

What a joy it was to stop at Pâtisserie JFF during a weekend in Cherbourg, one of the best places in town in my opinion! Not only are the cakes and entremets delicious and, above all, very original—the chef is a true creative artist—but the jams and chocolates are simply irresistible… a special shout-out to the candied ginger and, of course, the Saint Honoré cake! This is an address you absolutely must visit to discover the chef's constantly evolving creations… Bravo to the whole team for your hard work, your kindness, and your warm welcome! I can't wait for my next weekend in Cherbourg…

5/5 for the pastries, 3/5 for the chocolates (too sweet), and 1/5 for the service. This last point completely ruins the magic: the waitresses were a bit sloppy (hair, outfit) and their behavior was inappropriate for the image JF Fouché wanted to project: they barely knew the products, the chocolate service was rushed, the boxes of chocolates were poorly arranged, the varieties were mixed up ("Mr. Fouché restocked everything haphazardly"), they were tidying up while serving us, making no effort to entice us. Finally, there were dogs in the shop, even though it's a food establishment. A perfect example of "how to ruin an image through presentation."
