What a disappointment to return to this restaurant after a very good first experience. The service was interminable, the starter was missing ingredients, the main course was swimming in sauce, the dessert was terrible (the popcorn was completely soggy at the bottom), and the portion was tiny. I was truly disappointed with this meal.

We discovered this restaurant quite by chance during a day trip to Cherbourg, and we were delighted with our choice. We had lunch there as a couple on a weekday. The restaurant is clean, the welcome is warm and pleasant, and the meal was delicious. The cuisine was sophisticated, original, and full of flavor. All this at a very good price.

The food and service were worth 6 stars. Friendly staff who even smiled occasionally. Now they're complaining terribly! The restaurant's ambiance is cold, monotonous, and a bit run-down! Cracks and water damage on the ceiling, and dirt under the silicone sealant. Everything is gray except for a few teak wood imitations. With a few buckets of blue paint and some nautical decorations, they could create a dream restaurant! For this reason, only 4 stars!

Friendly staff, appropriate portions, some dishes lacked seasoning but overall good value for money. Lovely view of the harbor, pleasant setting.

We had a very good meal. The duck breast with pommeau sauce was excellent! One small drawback: the mussels were cold. They should be served in a casserole dish to retain heat better. Friendly service. Nice view of the harbor.

The meal was decent, but the waitress didn't know the menus and couldn't explain them, which was a shame. The location on the main street isn't great; avoid the outdoor tables.

15/04/2026: Perfect, absolutely delicious. The portion size was a little small for the daily special, but my son ordered the carbonara pasta, which was delicious and a very generous amount. I highly recommend it!

09/05/2026: We came as a group to the restaurant at the Mercure Hotel in Cherbourg and were quite disappointed by the welcome and service. The waitresses weren't very friendly, and we clearly felt like we were bothering them. The most disappointing part was dessert: we were suddenly told that the kitchen was closed, even though no one had informed us beforehand. My daughter was supposed to have a dessert included in her children's menu, which she ultimately didn't get. It's a real shame, especially considering the hefty bill we left behind. We were hoping for a much more pleasant experience.
