Konnichiwa sur Lyon

We stumbled upon this place the first time and now we keep coming back because everything is delicious! The fish is fresh and the pieces are truly beautiful, not just a small bit drowned in rice. They are very friendly and accommodating, and their eco-friendly approach of not offering tuna separately by special order to avoid waste is much appreciated. In short, as a Lyon resident for 10 years and after trying quite a few Japanese restaurants, this is without a doubt the best in the city!

A bit on the edge of the street but hey... that's the case for quite a few restaurants around here. No chicken other than "halal", unfortunately... but I reassure the waiter who seems not to have appreciated my "stigmatizing" remark: Yes, after all, it's okay, it's not serious, I won't make any more inappropriate remarks because not agreeing to validate ritual slaughter is wrong after all. One could also think that in the absence of meat, customers would be quite satisfied with sushi, and that I, ME, have no obligation to eat religiously! I sit down and eat sushi for €19.90. Excellent sweet and sour salad, hot miso soup inevitable during a heatwave, excellent fresh sushi and very reasonable prices. Apart from the chicken skewers thing, it's an excellent address.

Best sushi in Lyon, in my opinion! I've been going there for years, and the quality is really good. The staff is great. Go for it!

Lovely welcome and cute little restaurant. The sashimi is always fresh and of good quantity (not the case in many other sushi spots). The miso is nice, not too strong, and the rice is sticky, but not overcooked. It's a bit sweet for some, but I like it. The prices are correct. Definitely coming back.

First of all, we were looking for a Japanese restaurant in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon with affordable prices 🍣. We were lucky enough to stumble upon Konishiwa, which was a wonderful surprise and discovery for both of us. We found the quality, but above all, the generosity that is often lacking in Japanese restaurants these days. The owners are very kind and attentive, in a cozy, family atmosphere with efficient service 🤩 We can 1000% recommend this little restaurant, which will satisfy your taste buds and which satisfied ours 😃 PS: Special mention for the rice cooking, which was EXCELLENT 🙌🏻
