Kuma, France sur Paris

We dined here after a 15-minute wait. The place is really small (only 9 seats). As soon as we were seated, we were served immediately, and the food was truly delicious. If you have the opportunity, I recommend trying the takeout option for a more relaxed meal.

Brought here by a friend who lives nearby, I wasn't disappointed. There was a bit of a wait, but it actually went quite quickly. The space is tiny, but that's not a problem. The interior is warm and very pretty! I ordered the karaage curry, and I have no regrets, even though I'm curious about the katsu curry! The rice was top-notch, and the curry itself was just perfect—a little spicy, but just the right amount. The pickles on top really add something nice! I highly recommend it, especially if you're lucky enough to go when it's not too crowded! The lady who greeted us was very kind, helpful, and efficient. Despite the wait, which is normal for this place, we felt very welcome! I'll definitely be back to try the whole menu!

KUMA is a good Japanese restaurant that has successfully recreated the Japanese curry you eat in Japan. I appreciated the speed of service, and the food was very good, but something was missing. I ordered a Katsu curry, and the flavor wasn't quite what I expected from curry in Japan. If I'm not mistaken, it was quite spicy/hot, probably due to the ginger. It might be present in the dish, but not enough. The two or three pieces of fermented vegetables next to the rice are unnecessary; they don't add anything to the dish in my opinion. However, putting a larger quantity in a small bowl on the side could be a good idea. The bowls are very small, making it difficult to eat there. Finally, even though the dish is very good, it's a bit expensive for my taste. If it were €12.50 instead of €14.50, I would have given it 5/5, but given the somewhat unbalanced price-quality ratio, I can't give it the highest rating.

Excellent restaurant! I absolutely loved my dish. The food was delicious. The waiter was lovely and always smiling. (The restaurant is very small and doesn't have a restroom for customers.)

Excellent karaage curry, probably the best in Paris. After visiting the restaurant on Rue Cadet a few months ago, I went to the one on Rue des Ecouffes. Pleasant welcome, efficient service, and the karaage is still as melt-in-your-mouth delicious as ever.
