Lunch on January 4th (for two) Madame: Veal kidneys Monsieur: Veal cordon bleu €70 including aperitif and coffee Excellent service for my first visit to this establishment in 23 years in Sarrebourg. I recommend it and we will return. Welcome, service, presentation of the dishes: 👌👍👍

We stumbled across the place when we discovered other places were closed in the city. The inside was cosy; it felt very french and the service was great. The food was also great. The best ragout and frog legs we've experienced. Unfortunately my entrecote wasnt cooked properly. The waiter suggested it rare which is how they do it in france. But it was served with a burnt crust and the inside was all grey (no red). I could tell its a good quality cut so it was still edible but still a pity.

Even before we stepped inside, we felt welcomed by the warm music playing outside. Inside, the atmosphere was calm and homely. The staff felt like a close-knit family, and we were greeted with genuine friendliness. Chez l’Ami Fritz is a truly authentic French gem, we were the only tourists there. The menu features traditional French dishes, with just enough options to keep it simple and inviting. I chose the Bouchée à la Reine with Spätzle, and it was perfect. The sauce had a lovely, subtle mushroom flavour and felt like a warm hug. Combined with the buttery puff pastry and generous pieces of chicken, it made for a delicious and comforting meal. The frog legs starter was also very tasty, especially thanks to the incredible garlic sauce, I would’ve loved even more of it! Chez l’Ami Fritz is highly recommended if you're looking for a warm, flavourful, and truly French dining experience. ❤️

Great atmosphere. Very warm service and delicious food. Christmas 2025. A real discovery! And for me, as a pescatarian, the choice was vast.

We stopped by during our vacation. And what a wonderful discovery! The lamb rump, the pork loin, and the beef with foie gras delighted our taste buds! An explosion of flavors! The desserts were just as delicious! (Crème brûlée, chocolate fondant, and pear tart, all homemade) Thank you for this delightful experience! We will recommend this restaurant to our friends if they come to the area, and we will definitely return if we have the chance!

We had lunch there over the weekend. The food was excellent. The service was very friendly. We will definitely come back when we are in the area again.
