06/09/2026: Takeout is great. Unfortunately, we didn't get takeout this time. Luckily, the food is excellent because the atmosphere is practically nonexistent. We made a reservation, arrived, and received no greeting. We were told to sit at the hidden banquette table on the left. The waitress was mildly friendly, despite her lack of a smile, but very, very rushed. She quickly brought the seaweed salad and left. The same thing happened for the rest of the meal. We could hear the waitresses shouting every five minutes, perhaps even arguing? The dorayaki was still slightly frozen, and the matcha latte was a complete disaster—too much matcha (luckily, the manager offered it to me, even though her waitress had just told me to add ice cubes to soften the matcha and make it less hot...). In short, it's a shame because this restaurant is still a good place to eat ultra-fresh sushi, maki, and sashimi.

07/06/2026: Good food, but the portions were quite small. The waitress—there was only one—was very unfriendly. She didn't even say hello. It was better before, back when Soca was running. We won't be back.

03/08/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant today and we were delighted! The daily special was simply delicious, prepared with high-quality ingredients and bursting with flavor. The service was impeccable: welcoming, friendly, and very professional. The value for money is excellent, with a generous and truly delicious menu. A wonderful place that we recommend without hesitation. We will definitely be back!

23/07/2026: A wonderful discovery, thanks to an invitation to the tasting menu. A warm and professional welcome. The setting and terrace at the back of the restaurant are very pleasant. Delicious gourmet cuisine at affordable prices. Excellent wines. An address to add to your address book, and it will be our go-to spot for affordable luxury dining. Thank you to the entire team and the chef.

01/08/2026: Not for a drink (avoid it). We went there before a theater performance and had a 30-minute wait. The weather was nice, let's go for a drink. I've lived in Paris for 25 years. I know that the Montorgueil district is one of the most touristy areas of Paris, especially at the end of July. I avoid cafes where the waiters wear the official, postcard-perfect Parisian attire. I sat down with my two teenagers on the terrace of this cafe, which seemed more authentic to me. There were three tables taken; it was 5 p.m. My teenagers are tall enough to take two small tables together (sitting face-to-face is impossible, the rows are so close). The waitress didn't say anything until she learned that my son would only be having a glass of water. I ordered a cocktail (tasteless except for the numerous ice cubes that give it volume), and my daughter had a small fruit juice. And the waitress refused to serve my son a glass of water; he had to "order." In France, it's still acceptable to ask for tap water. I pretended to leave (which I should have), but the owner agreed to a glass of water on the condition that we squeeze around a single table to make room for those who would come to eat. It was 5:10 PM. The terrace was still completely empty. The bill? Over 16 euros. A rip-off? Definitely. If I had to get fleeced, I would have gone to a touristy café. For a drink, this really isn't the place.

26/07/2026: Amazing pizza! We got the stracciatella, pistachio pesto, mortadella and it was phenomenal. It’s a Neapolitan style pizza place and they did it really well! We also got the lasagna and it was really good. It’s located on a lively street “Rue du Montegruil” so it was nice to sit outside under umbrellas front with amazing food and people watch.
