While in the area on a business trip, I was completely unfamiliar with L’Esprit des Mets. I discovered this restaurant quite by chance, and despite the 30-minute drive, the result speaks for itself: I went back three days in a row! And that's clearly no coincidence. The cuisine is refined and bursting with flavor, with beautifully presented and, above all, delicious dishes. Each dish is crafted with finesse, the ingredients are high-quality, the cooking is perfectly executed, and the flavor combinations are truly successful. I was able to sample several dishes over these three meals, and I wasn't disappointed once. From the amuse-bouche to the dessert, everything is meticulously prepared, and you can feel the genuine passion behind the cooking. The setting is very pleasant, and the service is also noteworthy: welcoming, attentive, friendly, and professional. Driving 30 minutes the first time to discover a restaurant, then deciding to make the trip again two more days later—I think that's probably the best compliment I can give them! An excellent place that I recommend without hesitation. If I'm ever back in the area, I already know where I'll be eating. A wonderful discovery! The cuisine is refined and delicious. The dishes are beautifully presented. The service is professional yet relaxed, and the terrace is very pleasant. The food is excellent, and you'll have a great time. The menu is varied, and the value for money is very good.

The starter (spring rolls) was average and the sauce extremely salty. The main course (tuna) was excellent. The white wine (Viognier) was very good. The paper napkins and cutlery (including the table) were rather low-quality. The speakers played uninteresting music. The service was friendly but unfamiliar with the custom of serving women first. Some guidance is needed, even though the overall experience was pleasant. At €50 per person, one would expect better.
