Very cozy restaurant with delicious food. We had looked at the menu outside and couldn't find anything vegetarian, but the owner immediately suggested some vegetarian alternatives for the dishes on the menu. And they were a huge hit!

An original menu, delicious and well-prepared dishes, a warm atmosphere, and pleasant service. Everything was perfect. Excellent value for money: generous portions and carefully prepared dishes. The photo of the dessert doesn't do it justice; it's a playful exploration of textures around chocolate: very original and, above all, delicious.

Great restaurant, good atmosphere, very welcoming and professional staff. The dishes are beautifully presented and delicious. Very convenient for lunch, and given the layout, it must be just as pleasant at the end of the day or in the evening. Well done and thank you.

Hippopotamus Alès

31/08/2026: Well, after a great day on the motorbike with a friend, he unfortunately broke down. After waiting unnecessarily for help for 3.5 hours—thanks to the ANWB😒—we went out for dinner! Thanks to the Welshman there, we put this unpleasant experience aside. Persuaded by him to order the varied grill with a delicious glass of beer, and an Irish coffee afterwards, it lifted our cheerful spirits again! Thanks for the fun and good humor and the tasty food!🥳👍🏻💥
30/08/2026: Great for a first time. We'll be back. Thanks to Jarod Rance and José. Thank you for your kindness.

L Esprit des Mets

05/10/2026: This restaurant has become a must-visit, and it's saving what we've lost in the area over the past few years... First of all, unlike many others, there are no "extra charges" for any particular dish, so no misleading advertising... The difference between the set menu and the à la carte options is well-balanced, which is really appreciated! We ordered the appetizer platter and then the Tournedos Rossini à la carte at a reasonable price! We highly recommend it, well done, and see you very soon! 😇 Rémi and Magali
04/10/2026: Inventive and excellent cuisine, top-notch service, I highly recommend it.
