Don't leave Lille without trying the chef's specialties. He's passionate about cooking with local products (high-quality meat and bread from neighboring shops, farmhouse cheddar that's nothing like the supermarket kind) and he takes the time to ask for our feedback with great kindness. The service was also perfect. These days, that's so rare it deserves to be highlighted. We were just passing through Lille, but we've kept the address and will definitely be back. Thank you again!

Excellent cuisine, attentive service, and as a cheese lover, the discovery that Maroilles cheese truly shines when served warm, making it melt in your mouth. To finish the meal, a remarkable Maroilles puff pastry; the thin filo pastry isn't there to make the cheese soggy, but rather to hold together the excellent farmhouse Maroilles, which the warmth makes runny, while adding a delightful crispness.

Chance led us to this very intimate restaurant, small and spacious, but the food was excellent, prepared by a delightful chef and served by a waiter who recommended local specialties from the north. We enjoyed an appetizer platter, a Maroilles cheese pastry, chicken with Maroilles cheese, Flemish carbonnade, and a poestevetj (apologies for the spelling). To finish, we had chicory crème brûlée and homemade waffles. We shared everything with friends. We truly loved trying the typical dishes of northern France.

Perfect!
I had my first Welsh rarebit there, and the gingerbread one was amazing!
I had another one at a different restaurant, but it seemed blander and cheaper than the one at this place.
The cook and the waiter are very friendly!
I recommend it 😁
