LA BARGUILLERE sur Saint-Pierre-De-Riviere

We arrived by chance after a tree fell across the road blocking our way. Anne, the owner, welcomed us at almost 11 pm, showed us to a magnificent and charming room, and ensured we had an incredibly peaceful night's rest. Breakfast was equally incredible; everything was homemade with care, creativity, and passion. The flavors were exceptional, just as they were when we continued our stay in the restaurant that evening. Because yes, it wasn't just a temporary stopover! We extended our stay in this beautiful and welcoming establishment. But let's get back to the restaurant. Anne is still at the helm in the kitchen with the same talent and passion. She delights her guests with flavorful cuisine, classic dishes from our gastronomy, and a touch of creativity. The small vegetable garden and herb garden that Anne cultivates on her magnificent, verdant terrace also contribute to her delicious cooking. As you can see, we highly recommend a stop at the Logis Hôtel Auberge la Barguillère, where we will definitely return!

Everything was perfect during our stay. Great communication with Anne, the owner/property manager, easy check-in, spotless rooms in a charming building, parking nearby. We had breakfast which was delicious; everything you can imagine: eggs, ham, cheese, biscuits, croissants, rhubarb and ginger marmelade, home-made yogurt, flan, banana bread, hot cocoa and the yummiest coffee. So much food, we had some leftovers for the road! The place is about 10 min outside of Foix which is not necessarily an issue. If I ever return to Foix, I will return to Anne’s!

We had a wonderful two-night stay. Everything was perfect: the meals were delicious, prepared with top-quality ingredients—a true pleasure from beginning to end. A huge thank you to Anne, who welcomed us with extraordinary kindness, always smiling, attentive, and caring. Her hospitality truly made all the difference and made our stay even more enjoyable. We leave delighted and will cherish the wonderful memories of this experience. We recommend this place without hesitation!

At the Auberge, Anne's cuisine, prepared with local produce, is superb, as is her wine selection. All homemade products at breakfast – a real treat. A little gem. Anne is very welcoming, available, and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food is delicious. And lastly, pets are very welcome. I highly recommend it!

A ten minute drive from Foix to this lovely, homely hotel for dinner did not disappoint. The friendliest host and the restaurant is cosy with great ambiance. The food is homemade and delicious!

Living the high life... for a weekend with friends at the Auberge La Barguillère, just a stone's throw from Foix Castle! We were welcomed like family by Anne and her team, who took excellent care of us. A wonderful, very friendly, and gastronomic experience where we also enjoyed some of the area's attractions (the Saturday morning market in St. Girons, a hike to Lake Bethmale, and a show at the Café-Théâtre de la Poste in Foix). An address to absolutely remember, whether for a first visit or... a return visit!
