We came for Valentine's Day dinner, and it was our first experience there—fantastic from start to finish. The dining room is truly beautiful, with a very warm and elegant atmosphere. The food was delicious and well worth the price, as the portions were generous and full of flavor. My sincere respect to the owner, who runs the restaurant single-handedly all evening while still taking the time to chat with his customers and providing impeccable service. I highly recommend you come and discover it; you won't regret it.

09/05/2026: Great Saint-Étienne traffic jam! We were in a group and had a fantastic time.
08/05/2026: A restaurant that opened several decades ago in Saint-Étienne. Taken over in 2023 by a new chef. The menu features many traditional dishes: sausage in brioche, pike quenelles, sweetbreads with morels, profiteroles, etc. We went there for Easter lunch. There's nothing extravagant: traditional, generous cuisine, fresh ingredients, and it's delicious. If you choose the cheese course, in the old-fashioned way, the platter will be brought to your table so you can help yourself as much as you like. The waiter was friendly, and the chef came to greet us after lunch. As for the ambiance: the famous Aurochs horns hang proudly on one wall, and a number of other knick-knacks, often culinary in nature, adorn the rest of the restaurant, which has retained its original character. This is part of its charm, even if a little freshening up wouldn't hurt. A minor drawback is the cheap paper tablecloth. Overall, we recommend it without hesitation.
