A great moment which allows you to discover the castle from another angle. Marie, our guide, was both funny and interesting, which made the trip lively and pleasant. And Claude the captain was also very friendly! For the price it's not worth it.

We opted for the 50min sightseeing cruise. Super nice team and interesting explanations. One of the best places to take beautiful photos of the castle without having tons of people in front. For your information, our dog friends are accepted at no extra cost. Well done to them 😜

Smiling welcome at the counter. Bucolic and informative 2.5 hour lunch cruise. You shouldn't expect to have a great meal in this type of service, that's not the goal. Vouvray and local wines of good quality

Magnificent boat trip on the Cher to discover the Château de Chenonceau in a different way... And the staff is super nice, especially the very funny host 😉👌

Beautiful and relaxing boat ride on the Gabare taking in the relaxing countryside. The guide was obviously very knowledgeable in French and translations are provided upon boarding. For €12 the hour long trip is well worth it with some amazing photo opportunities of the château.

02/07/2024: The food was OK, but the impression was not so good that we would have wanted to order also dessert. For the first time in my life, there was a situation where the waiter did not accept our order and announced that we should respect the customers who arrived before us, who are still choosing what to order, and she will accept our order for food only after them, but if we want, she can bring an aperitif right away. So, she wasn't even agree to just write down what we wanted order before the other customers decided on their order. It took us a long time to choose the dishes ourselves, because the menu is in French and it took us a lot of time to translate it all on the internet. After a while, another waiter arrived and took our order anyway. Customers who arrived before us took a very long time to decide on their order after that.

Crêperie du Clair Cottage

01/10/2024: A stone's throw from Chenonceau, spacious and very well equipped rooms. The breakfast is exceptional.
31/07/2024: The one staff member there was very friendly. But they were understaffed for the relatively large tourist crowd they had the night we stayed there. Also there was no one answering the phone or at the front desk until 4 PM though the website said someone would be there after 8 AM.
