La Bonne Fourchette sur Aix-Les-Bains

We came to have dinner at this restaurant. The retro atmosphere is charming, everything is very clean and well arranged. The appetizers were delicious, except the watermelon one where the contrast with the onion was too pronounced, I couldn't finish it. The same goes for the tomatoes: the dish demonstrated technique and research, but in terms of taste, nothing exceptional. The pork was very good, but the sage flavor inside the roast was perhaps a little too present and did not leave enough room for the demi-glace, although it was skillfully prepared. The olive dessert really surprised me, I highly recommend it. The choice of bread and the service in general, in a bistronomic style, deserve. Some pairings should be rethought, perhaps with a little less technique but more familiarity in flavors. We will definitely come back to try new dishes.

Worthy of a star.... it was very very good

We can only recommend this restaurant! Firstly, the staff is very friendly and pleasant, each dish/amuse bouche (..) that arrives at the table is well explained and with a smile! We opted for a pleasure menu and an exquisite menu (€57 and €72) The appetizer consisted of a watermelon/goat cheese jelly, and it’s validated! Pleasure menu: delicious trout gravlax (+ very good mention for the sheep's tomette espuma), tender filet mignon and carrots too, even if it would have been nice to have a little extra in terms of accompaniment, and the desert was good but not transcendent (lime freshness) Exquisite menu: very good beef tataki, for main course the sea bass was ultra tender and the shellfish emulsion surprising: perfect balance, the dessert was good (exotic stopover) The place is intimate and calm

Exceptional! A superb experience! Warm welcome and very friendly, caring staff. We took the “pleasure” menu, the dishes were delicious! A big favorite for a dessert that surprised us a lot, the Olive Oil and Honey Frozen Perfect, Biscuit and Caramelized Almonds, Cloud of Goat Cheese, surprising flavors… a superb culinary experience. I recommend 100%.
