Come! It's good to eat here! 😊
Ouch! It's complicated for this restaurant! I read the comments, it’s hot! But I said to myself 'Go see and make your own judgement'.
I am alone in the restaurant, next to a table of two people who are finishing and going to leave the restaurant.
The welcome: 5/5 received by a young man, smiling, friendly, who says Hello! He offers me a table, I decline, asking if it is possible to be near a window: 'Yes, of course! Here, does that suit you?' Perfect!
He hands me the menu of meat specialties (pretty and original, printed on leather). I take my time to read the other menu with the other dish proposals. He comes to check on my order but I haven't chosen yet, he leaves with a smile and politeness.
My order taken, I head towards the toilets, pass in front of the counter 'Hello!', the cooks say to me. I visit the toilets, clean, with soap, paper towels and electric hand dryers and, for parents, the changing table.
(And the tiling of the walls is super nice!)
I come back, my plate is ready on the counter, under the warm lamps, waiting to be served.
The waiter waits patiently until I am seated to serve me. I find this really delicate and very appropriate.
My plate beautifully served. The tenderness of the meat is there. Blue cooking respected. The basket of fries well served and they are cooked just right. A 'mixture of 5 berries' pepper grinder and a 'sea salt' salt shaker are on the table. In addition, coarse-grained sea salt is also present on the plate.
Another table arrives, a family, two parents, 3 children. Everything apparently went well for them, the deadline to sit down/sit down/order/chat/wait/be served/eat quietly is respected.
I was able to discuss the concern about negative comments a little with the server. For those who have had a bad experience, frankly, don't hesitate to come back and talk about it. He will explain, and if you are at all understanding, I think the explanations will ease some of your previous disappointments.
Really, the staff I met today do not deserve the past comments at all. For those who want to come here for the first time, go ahead, walk through the door and enjoy your evening.
To the staff: courage, you are a great team, thank you for the service, keep that beautiful smile, and I hope that for the future, things will stabilize! And thank you for the chat while waiting for two other tables to arrive. (Today is Tuesday, so in the middle of the week, it's often quiet).
To customers: of course, some comments are certainly legitimate. But this concerns a team that is no longer present.
And don't forget that it is becoming difficult to find adequate or sufficient staff (2 separate problems), look at the newspaper headlines, the catering industry is crying, many restaurants are closing due to lack of staff.
I ate well, and am satisfied with my visit!
