La Boucherie de Palette sur Aix-En-Provence

We ordered a 50cl pitcher, but were served 25cl. The waiter took our order after other customers had just arrived. Customers asked to move because of the sun; the waiter didn't refuse but suggested they move their table a few centimeters, which didn't solve the problem. Yet there were five tables available within 3 meters. One customer pricked his legs because of a thistle under his chair. The terrace wasn't clean or weeded. I don't recommend this restaurant, even though the food is classic and good, with generous portions. The service leaves much to be desired and isn't very friendly, although one waiter seemed to stand out with his smile and kindness.

The salad was very good, but unfortunately the fryer was broken. There was no breaded turkey in the salad; they offered to replace it with vegetables. They didn't even offer a discount. The servers spent a lot of time chatting amongst themselves while we waited to order. Luckily, the food was good.

Young and very friendly team, always a great atmosphere. We just left, it was perfect, very professional and customer-focused. Thank you to the team!

A pleasant experience, friendly staff, a warm welcome, and good quality food.

I have mixed feelings about my first experience. The team is young and doing their job. I ordered a rare flank steak with green vegetables, following the waiter's recommendation that it was tender and not stringy. The dish arrived almost cold. The meat was blue, difficult to cut, and cold. The vegetables were tender, which is good, but they were sautéed and seasoned with something a bit strong. I expected them to be simply sautéed in butter, for example, as in many restaurants. The intended seasoning should be specified. The virgin mojito was more like lemonade. The mint had no real flavor. As a fan of this drink, I was disappointed by the lack of flavor. The worst part for me was the dessert: two scoops of ice cream. The glass was dirty, the first scoop was almost melted, and the second was tiny. In short, I'll hope for this restaurant's sake that my experience was exceptional, because one expects much higher quality when dining out.
