We were greeted by a rather unpleasant middle-aged woman who clearly didn't want to be there, and it showed. Perhaps she was having a bad day, I don't know, but that's no excuse for being so rude. It's a shame, because on the other hand, we saw another young woman who was very kind and polite! What I also find disappointing is that they only accept the card for purchases over €10... it's perfect for lunch or dinner, but not so great for a light afternoon snack.

We had both of our weekend breakfasts at this restaurant, where the staff is very welcoming! There are several menu options, something to delight everyone's taste buds ☺️ The cocktails are just as good 😉 We'll be back!

29/12/2025: A huge thank you to the entire team at Auberge Canaulaise! During our holiday in Lacanau, visiting our children, we had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant several times this week… and what a delight it was each time! Traditional, generous, and delicious cuisine, just the way we like it, with a three-course meal for €17. But beyond the food, it was your kindness, warm welcome, and professionalism that truly touched us. We simply feel at home here. A particularly special memory is the meal on December 23rd, shared with our children and grandchildren when the elf came to the restaurant: a magical moment, the children's eyes sparkled with joy… and ours too! Originally from the North of France, we leave with wonderful memories and a definite desire to return for a future visit. Thank you again for everything, and above all… don't change a thing! Cédric and Caroline 💕
