For our fifth visit, it was just as perfect as ever.
The meat was delicious, and the vegetable gratin was as good as always.
The service was quick, even for a table of six in a full restaurant.
We will definitely be back!

A wonderful discovery on a rainy day! The welcome was friendly, and the food was just as delicious and plentiful! Beef tartare, fish en papillote, fish and chips...everything was good, even the fries were a delight! I highly recommend it!

We had an excellent meal on a Sunday at lunchtime. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The portions were generous, and the vegetable gratin was a delight. The decor skillfully blends old stone walls with Art Deco. An unlikely combination, but one that works beautifully. And the waitress was simply lovely, so attentive to both adults and children (I think my 7-year-old son fell in love with her!). We will gladly return to try the other many meat dishes on the menu.

What a fantastic restaurant! No frills, just good food. The chef is constantly busy keeping the wood fire in top condition, serving it with beautiful cuts of meat weighing between 1.5 and 2 kilos. The staff is friendly. What surprised me most is that I hadn't discovered this gem before, despite having been visiting Angouleme periodically for over 50 years. Keep up the good work!

Good restaurant, the food is good with generous portions for a reasonable price. A few minor drawbacks, such as the state of the toilets, but overall it's a good place.

This restaurant in Angoulême truly stands out thanks to the quality of its food. The meats are flavorful and well-prepared. Regarding the traditional sauces, it would be a good idea to offer them before serving the dish. I say this because their homemade sauces are excellent. The service is very good overall. I highly recommend this restaurant.
