During a short stay in Angoulême and the surrounding area, I made a wonderful discovery of this restaurant tucked away in the narrow streets. The service was reasonably quick, and the staff were pleasant.
From the aperitif to the meal, everything was well-presented and generous.

Another great meal at La Braise! The menu offers an excellent selection, delicious meats cooked over the open fire alongside plenty of other options (we had the steak tartare and the fish en papillote). Great dessert options, I would recommend the ice cream sundaes! We dined as a family of six, including children, on the outdoor terrace at the back of the restaurant. It has a lovely atmosphere. We booked online through Google, which was quick and easy.
Morgan, who looked after us, made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived until we left. He was friendly, attentive, and had a great sense of humour, which really added to the experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be returning!

We came to eat as a family on a Monday, somewhat by chance. We were warmly welcomed and seated quickly. The staff were pleasant, smiling, and attentive.
The food was good, but the wait was quite long. When we arrived, the fries were much hotter than the meat 😅, which was a bit disappointing. It's a shame, because with the meat served piping hot, the meal would have been even better.
Overall, it was a decent experience, with a friendly welcome and good service.

Excellent all around. Morgan was our waiter, very helpful, engaging and bang on what you want. The plat du jour was good value for money. Very good seating out the back, quiet, but lots to watch.
