La Brocherie sur Aix-En-Provence

La Brocherie is a traditional restaurant in Aix-en-Provence, and we were very excited. The appetizer—shrimp cocktail with avocado—was very good and presented quite simply. The steak was truly excellent in terms of meat quality, the mixed grilled fish was mediocre, the vegetables were very greasy, and the fries were very good. Overall, the atmosphere is quite basic, and the noise level is bothersome, so it's not really cozy. The service was very attentive and friendly.

Found this place slightly off the tourist path place near where we were staying. As others mentioned, it was full of locals (a good indicator). Since it was a Saturday (lunch) and we were without a reservation, we showed up just as they opened and were barely seated before the place was almost entirely full. My wife and I had the appetizer bar (self-served, wide variety and yummy) - plate special. She had the lamb, which was very good. I had the steak which was pretty good. It also came fries (good) and a mostly pepper vegetable side (not to my liking). And did I mention the staff was extremely friendly even to us non-French speaking Americans? iin conclusion, La Brocherie provided us one of the best value and enjoyable meals we’ve had in our fairly extensive travel in Europe. Highly recommended, but don’t forget your reservations!

A fine restaurant, delicious, excellent service. Excellent price. We ordered a starter of soup and avocado with shrimp which was delicious and served with a salad, a main course of pasta and 350 grams of tibon which was excellently made and an excellent dessert, all for about 77 euros including a glass of wine. This is one of the tastiest meals on the trip. Must book in advance

What can I say? A truly exceptional experience. We booked a table for two at 8:30 pm without knowing what to expect. And in the end, it's an experience I'll never forget, honestly! A place steeped in its history (a former coaching inn) with a large fireplace in the center where the aroma of grilled meats wafted through the air. Tables filled with jovial, good-humored people chatting and laughing. This immediately creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our server, Eric, was simply excellent all evening. He was friendly, humorous, very attentive, and had a genuine sense of customer service. Servers like him are a rare find these days. He truly went above and beyond, from beginning to end; we wanted for nothing! The menu is very varied, with high-quality, homemade dishes to suit all tastes. And above all, the value for money is simply unbeatable; I don't even know how it's possible… Rib-eye steak, craft beer, a pitcher of quality red wine, chocolate mousse for only 58 euros at the end?! All this for perfectly executed, high-quality products in more than generous portions—we left completely satisfied! The rib-eye steak was to die for, and the apple tart was exquisite. We'll be back, and we look forward to seeing you there, Eric.

The appetizers were self-service (salad bar), quite sour and salty, and the lamb chops were decent—I could finish them. The tiramisu for dessert was on the sweeter side, and the espresso at the end was alright. Overall, it was an experience trying local cuisine. However, from a Taiwanese perspective, I wasn't quite used to the food.

A truly excellent culinary experience! The appetizer buffet was top-notch. The meats were cooked to perfection. The desserts were pure bliss! Friendly atmosphere! Reservations are highly recommended.

Excellent dinner experience in Aix. Relatively large menu with translation in English. Always excellent food.

No disappointments for almost 15 years. I go there once a year during my holidays, and yet the waiter treats us like regular customers. The food is very good and the portions are generous. Don't hesitate to order a crêpe Suzette at the end of your meal; it's made fresh right in front of you.

This restaurant on Rue Fernand Dol is fantastic! As someone from Lyon, I found it to be just like a traditional Lyonnais bistro, with perfectly cooked kidneys, excellent homemade fries, and very friendly service. Honestly, I'd never heard of it, even though I work in Aix-en-Provence. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

More than a restaurant, an experience! I recommend it!
